Sorry about your MIL. I know exactly what you're dealing with. I'm living it right now. Last night she raged. Today she is placid, friendly and full of please and thank you. She's even laughing. It's sort of a minute by minute sort of thing.

Happy Friday, all!

Diane O., very good news about your wound. I'm keeping the good thoughts coming.

Finally finished The End of Overeating. Lots of good stuff. I have some tangible things on which to work and some careful soul searching to continue. An uplifting challenge - at least that's the spin I'm giving it!

The stress and the constant exposure to high value trigger foods that my aunt and her care giver eat are taking a toll. It is noon and Auntie has eaten 3 ice cream sandwiches, a hot dog, and cereal with blue berries and orange soda. She has a box of wheat thins and the Brussels cookies by her feet. So, I'm doing my very best to think things through, but by last night I was worn out and gave into desire and ice creamed. Sigh.... Still better than booze and cigarettes! Must look at the up side of things.

Will leave here tomorrow and drive to Baltimore. Then finally back home on Monday. Yay!

Wow that's quite the situation with your aunt, Devon!  Not sure I could manage it at all so good for you.

Greetings Fine Friends

Ocean D so glad you are healing well. Carbon don't overdo that knee.

Three cheers for the library!

down to130 today. The 20's are around the corner.

On the phone all morning about my mom's care. We are trying to move her to  the assisted living wing to get her away from crazy roommate. Lord, I wish I could get her to a neurologist but she won't do it. Lunacy prevails. Mother is very weak but has good vital signs.

Gallery work today.  Feel like taking a nap before I go.

New carpet sounds grand.  Ours is ancient and has lived through several puppies.   diane S.

So sorry your mom's situation remains so unstable. It must be such a worry.

Hello from Kimberly, BC today!  Good travel day yesterday, with Bailee showing marked improvement during the second half of the trip. Meow per minute rate sharply decreased and he seems to finally be understanding that there's nothing to fear. Pic below of him snuggling with Rob.

We made it all the way here yesterday with time to spare. Took a pull through site for the night and relocated to our reserved spot this morning. Stunning setting and Bailee is happy that it's cool enough here to have the back deck ramp set up for him to use. It was much too hot in Clarkston for that, so all around happy cat right now!

Didn't bother to weigh this morning because we didn't unhook truck and level the RV last night.  Food had been better and Rob has slacked off on his pie quest. Just picked up some healthy food for cooking over the next few days.

I also have a large supply of Costco Quest Bars on hand for quick protein.  We can't get them in Canada. I now prefer to make my own but I don't seem to get around to it regularly in the RV. Did you know that a Costco Very Berry Sundae is double the size in the US that it is in Canada? I mean double. DH bought one and we were stunned when we saw it. Huge!  But low fat yogurt, so it's all good right? Lol.
