It will be hard but I know you can do it!!!!!!

Morning friends. I'm at 113. Trending in the right direction again.

Good to see you Mary!  I second what Devon said to use as a strategy. My version might be slightly different,  but the same principle applies. Using it quite a bit myself this past week.

We're packing up for travel, hoping to make it across the border today if all goes well.

Wishing each of you a healthy and happy day!

Mary, hope your professional changes go well.  I have a hard time with crazy work environments.

wt. 217.8 up 2  calories 1313  doing some work for SIL that has me in a bad head space.  Very quick to eat the stress.  work a while, come in and eat.  Purely comfort eating.  Fortunately the work should be done and I can get back on the airstream reno soon.  I hate it when I am so self centered.  Tomorrow will be a better day.

From this point forward I have far more control of what I eat and how it's prepared.

My aunt is 100% whacked. She is no longer all there on a cognitive level - lots of confusion and even long term memory loss, which I didn't expect. Oh, and deaf as a doorknob!

She eats terribly and repetitively. Corn flakes with blueberries, but not with milk....wait for it....Sparkling Polar Orange Dry soda!!!! Then lunch is a lean cuisine Glazed Chicken, but only half. Then the other half for dinner. In between all the other calories come from ice cream sandwiches and Pepperidge Farm Brussels cookies. I'm talking 3-4 ice creams and an entire bag of cookies. I was pleased a*****h to get her to eat scrambled eggs and bacon for lunch. Tonight I will make her mashed potatoes and creamed spinach (all home cooked) and see if I can get another egg down her gullet.

So, that is how I'm spending today and probably tomorrow. My stress level is increasing understandably. Feeling very lucky that I love my aunt to pieces, even though she's been a difficult, raging alcoholic, and mean as a wet hen for years. Otherwise I couldn't be here.

Hope to check in tomorrow.

Oh Lordy Kairk, welcome to the crazy family olympics.  My moms friend was crying today and then a telemarketer phone call came in and she started yelling at the unanswered phone until she was beet red in the face. Losing it big time but will take no suggestions. My sympathies. Diane S

Greetings Persistant Personages

Momsy good for you for taking some action on your toxic job. We take our work seriously and care about our jobs and its such a big part of life the there is no need to put up with a crummy place if there are options. Good luck.  Every big job move I made in my former business world life turned out to be a good one.

Nice cottages Kairk. Somehow I think I would feel guilty living in such an opulent place. But wouldn't mind trying it out . . .

Made BLT's last night with no bread, leaf lettuce and turkey bacon and a little mayo. they were really good. Repeat tonight.

Glad our ailing members seem to be moving in the right direction.  Keep it up.

Tesla the terror seems to think the area rug is a chew toy. Not like she doesn't have 100 others. Daily walks are doing her, and me, good. 130.5 today. Exercise matters.

Dog shots and gallery work tomorrow. More studio banking today. Got rid of a big load of craft supplies and picture frames at the SCRAP shop. Drop in the bucket of junk around here.

Dog wrestling match under way.  Gotta go referee.  Diane S

Hello all!

This is my last day of work (have worked 6 out of last 7 days!) so beyond pumped for a 3 day weekend!  Weight 150.4, down 0.2 today.  About 1,100 cals yesterday so not bad but thinking I may have thrown my body into maintenance mode when I really wanted to get to low 140's to get a cushion.  I'm going on a camping trip with extended family this weekend so will do the best i can.  Thinking on Monday I may do the 5 day meat test to help white knuckle off these last 10 pounds I want to lose.  Also need to recommit myself to exercise as I've been a bit lax in that department.

Glad all here seem to be well, love reading all the daily posts of those sharing the struggle!
