Paula so glad you appealed the insurance denial. Often you can win as I did my vsg denial. Gotta read the policy and do the research. good for you. diane s

Wt 215.6 down 1  Cal 1169   Still grazing a bit. Nervous eating.

Carbon, hang in there resting the knee.  I know you are tired of the pain too.

Paula, I have a fancy pants bike.  I am encouraged by your purchase.  I rode mine this morning.  I will see if I can make it a habit again.

Missed the bee swarm.  They were just resting on my trap.  6 trips to the fruit stand where the trap is lead me to the sale on the cave city watermelons.  Hard to resist the melon, couldn't resist the sale. It is not a terrible thing to eat but they do have enough sugar in them to make me queasy if I eat it on an empty stomach.

Diane S.  bees are popular art these days.  Bees have gotten a lot of press because they are being poisoned by big agra and dying off at an alarming rate. I want a T shirt that says 'I'm a keeper' just to combat the negative talk in my head.

Lesa, Happy for you and all the positive changes with your job.

Diane O, We have 3 dogs they have their beds, nice ones.  I slept with my dog as a kid. I don't bathe my dogs frequently enough to let them on my bed now.  I don't mind if they sleep on the rug by my bed.  We have 5 kids and managed to keep them out of our bed too for the most part.

I keep reading posts with fancy pants bike as fancy bike pants.  The best part is that all of you probably do have the fancy bike pants, too, and look great in them!

The scale lost yesterday's unearned pound so there is that.  But, I am still impatiently waiting for my surgical metabolism to kick in!  A girl can dream....

NSV --- I know you are all fascinated by my swelling so I want to report that the jeans that were too tight on my lower legs a few days ago now fit. I can even button/zip them over the garment and tubing. They are definitely not LOOSE but I am satisfied that they at least are wearable so apparently my work pants are wearable, too.

I have my 2 week LBL follow up today.  Daughter with activities and appt's today, too. I am trying to help both MIL and FIL with their various serious problems.  I told my husband last night that we need an adult in the room to help us make decisions.  I think I am going to bring a geriatric nurse care management team in for consultation.  We are in over our heads and there is only so much the PCP/specialists can help us with.

Medical Leave is exhausting.  Or it could be.  Today I feel fabulous! (I will probably be wearing my-jeans-fit-glow all day.)

Lots of love, Shel

Morning all!  I'm at 114 this morning. Having DH with me 24/7 is not a good food influence. He is very spontaneous with his choices and timing, which does not work well for me. Still trying to sort that out. It will be easier when he goes back to work, but it will be more of the same when he's recovering from upcoming foot surgery and when he (hopefully) retires and we do this full time next year.

We rode up and down the Lolo Pass yesterday, which is approx 700 km/450 mi round trip. Lovely scenery and lots of flowing 300 degree curves so some nice leans on the bike but not technically challenging like the Rattlesnake Pass with its extreme elevation changes and constant hairpin style switchbacks. Had hoped to post a pic of a beautiful quilt we saw at the Lolo Pass Visitors Centre, but wifi is not cooperating today.

Last day here, heading up into the mountains to get some lunch at a popular roadside cafe and cool off in the river! Tomorrow we will make the long run north to the border, with overnight wherever we (and Bailee) get tuckered out.

I'm thoroughly enjoying all your posts but my wifi challenges mean I can't take on responses, even though I'd love to chime in more!
