Good morning!

Skipped yesterday. Day was way too busy. Got the downstairs dogs back home and me back home on my scales. Wt 216.8 Overall down 1.2 for the week. Cal 1430. Ate 2 fast food meals out yesterday. Family in from OK.  Visiting was good.  Satisfied with my choices. Ate pizza topping off of 2 slices. Pizza pre op was a go to food. This is the second time we have had it post op. It was not as good as I remember.  Eating days like yesterday make me wish for nuts and yogurt.  Up early this morning to catch a swarm of bees.  I have a swarm trap box for them to go in but is too hot and they are hanging on to the outside of the box.  I may have to vacuum them.  That may be my steps for the day.

Thanks.  I have been beekeeping for about 5 years. DW started keeping with me about 3 years ago.  I made mead before WLS but no longer drink. So gave up brewing too.  I haven't gotten very much honey off of my hives.  It is much cheaper to just buy honey.  They are an interesting insects and have enjoyed the hobby. I will be in the learning stage for years to come.

My husband and his friend made mead a year or so ago, but it was a disaster. Too bad, because it cost a lot of money for the honey and the other ingredients.  If you have any hints, I'm sure he would appreciate it.

I got most of my info from here.  My son brews and has made some that was sellable.  Mine was just ok.  At 15% alcohol it worked for back pain but was not very smooth.  Time takes care of a multitude of problems. The longer mead is allowed to sit the better, or smoother it can become. I finished mine all the way to dry and did not re-sweeten.

Up a pound today!  Unearned.  Pfffft.

Eating content has improved --- more good fats, less fruit, calories aok.  Lotsa steps.  (Stupid scale.)

This day will be filled with appointments for me and my daughter.

My energy level improves daily.  My drainage is less each day and I suspect that 2 of the remaining 3 drains will be pulled tomorrow.  Can't wait!  If all 3 get pulled, I will request to be released for part time work.

David, good job with the pizza -- how helpful that it isn't as good as you remember.  I have been stunned that pizza toppings now taste like salt-salt-salt-pizza. Yuck.  Good luck with your continuing quest to stay away from nuts and yogurt.

DianeO, I am glad you are getting help with meals.  It nurishes the soul as well as the body.

Lesa, enjoy your job switcheroo,  I love that kind of change.

Have a skinny day!
