Over 200 this morning. Boo! Horse races yesterday followed by a concert. Super salty foods, Gatorade, lemonade, lots of water, protein and steps, but too many calories.
Pizza party at work today. Nope, not for me. I ate my usual sweet pepper with a tuna packet. It is not really a "party", just pizza. A vender is trying to shmooz us for business so there is no problem skipping it completely.
Morning all. No weight to report- scale is not in easy reach so sometimes I forget. Awesome day of riding yesterday. I call these types of days 'skillz and thrillz'. Posting a pic to give you a sense of the elevation and the depth of the switchbacks. Took me an hour to get one pic added to my profile so giving up on adding more. Internet connectivity is a constant struggle in RV parks and it's starting to get to me. The smallest thing takes a great deal of time and effort, including making site reservations. I've pretty much given up trying to respond to your posts but I do read them.
Today is a much needed maintenance day, and tomorrow we plan to get up early and ride again before the heat gets to be too much. Also thinking we will soon make a run back across the border to be closer to our daughter. She is not doing particularly well emotionally without us, which is one of our challenges with this lifestyle we want to embrace.
All for now. Peace.

In many ways, slow-grid is much harder than no-grid. I became very skeptical of any RV park's claims of wi-fi.
Did I ever mention the RV practice of boondocking in Alaska? It still seems crazy, but generally an RV can park (boondock) anywhere unless a posting says it isn't allowed. There is no question that the nights we had the most amazing views were when we parked in a road turnoff next to a lake or in the middle of a mountain vista. Of course, there were no RV amenities but we didn't need those every night.
I found myself looking at the airstream website the other day......it is fun to daydream. I would definitely include space for that little clothes washer.
I wish we could get together as you are so close! But, I can't count on my body to have the energy to drive very far so I really can't make any sort of commitment. Some day!

Slow-grid. Never heard that term before and boy do I agree about the frustration. It's really taking up an inordinate amount of our time but is unavoidable at the moment. There has to be a better solution.
Regarding boondocking, planning to do that Thursday for the first time. Will haul a small amount of water to get us through. No idea where we will end up but that's kind of fun, isn't it!
We were seriously contemplating swinging up through Seattle but it doesn't seem time will permit that with our daughter's emerging needs. Another time, my friend

Beautiful sights to see! Looks like a thrilling ride. I rode up into my 30's and still want one. I follow a couple of people on Youtube and one of them did a review on this product. It is spendy but if you are going to full time RV with different parks it might be worth it to you. I didn't know such a device even existed.

Hi all! In my Airbnb for the night here in Boston. I started the day in Essex, had a lovely boat ride in a large and tricked out Zodiac. Lots of fun. Got to Boston at about 4:00pm. Walked for a solid 3.5 hours around Beacon Hill, the Boston Commons and Public Garden, and down towards the harbor. I visited two of the oldest burial yards in Boston. Saw Paul Revere, Samuel Adams, and Crispus Atticks' tombs and many other grave sites belonging to lesser known historical figures like Ben Franklin's parents and Mary Goose. I'm sure I walked several miles, though I stopped often to take photos.
Have no idea what my weight is. I have not been eating off the rails, but I am clearly in "vacation mode". Unless I quickly change my eating, I will expect a minor gain.
I have not quite finished The End of Overeating. The last sections of the book are all about reprogramming our responses to food. I like his approach and his clear explanations about how to do about reconditioning ourselves away from the hyper overeating that we engage in. (Can't say how "normal" I feel after reading the book. So nice to know just how wide spread hyper overeating is.) I will be putting his techniques into play upon returning home. I tried some aspect of control today and it did feel right.
Freedom trail tomorrow and not sure what else.
