Happy August !!

122.8 ... wrapped. I've been adding back calories, but I'm now 6+ pounds under my lower limit of my range. I am too thin... I see it and I feel it. Now that the antibiotics are done, hopefully my stomach will accept more full fat cheese and dairy, and a few more nuts.

Had great treatments at the salon yesterday. Looking forward to a more normal routine. Half day of work, then lymphedema treatment.

 

Age: 64; 5' 5"; High weight: 345; Start weight: 271 (01/05/15); Surgery weight: 218 (05/27/15); Pre-Op (-53); M 1 (-18); M 2 (-1.5); M 3 (-13.5 ); M 4 (-13); M 5 (- 8); M 6 (-12) M 7 (-5, Xmas); M 8 (- 9) Under surgeon's goal and REACHED HEALTHY BMI 12/07/15!! (Six months and one week.) AT GOAL month 8. Maintaining at goal range (139- 144) ~ four (4) years !!

128 on the DOT! Quite a jump up. I know some if it is water weight - salty day yesterday. Did get in a good amount of steps yesterday.

Work today. Have to prepare for a grievance hearing tomorrow. Son # 1's jaw surgery for severe under bite has been denied by our health insurance - most likely looking at a very big bill in the near future!

 



5' 4" tall, HW: 242, SW:215.4 Weight Loss - pre-op: - 26.6, M1: -15.4, M2: -16, M3: -11.4, M4: -11.2, M5: -12.2, M6: -7.4, M7: -7.8, M8: -2.0 Goal of 130 lbs. reached at 8 months, 2 days post-op!

Good Luck with grievance hearing today Paula.  I had jaw surgery 14 years ago for a severe overbite, and it was a wonderful improvement to my looks and my life.  Recovery takes a while but he will be fine and will not only look better, but will have a better quality of life.

5' 5" tall. VSG on August 4, 2015/ Starting weight 239.9/ Surgery weight 210.9/ Current weight 137.4/ Goal weight 140/ No longer overweight, now a NORMAL weight. Now that I'm at goal, it's time to move on to maintenance!!!!!!!!

A good calorie day but  eating when not hungry.

steps 6899.  Not much but a try.

and yes, August is here and our leaves are already turning.  Sigh.

Good morning all!!

Too thin...such a problem to have!!  I'm with Paula, you can have some of mine.  Just kidding...so glad you seem to be feeling so well and are getting back to normal life and enjoyed the spa!  Your stomach should be so much better off all those antibiotics, try some Greek yogurt for the probiotic effect.

150.2 for me today, down from yesterday but a small gain for my official Monday weigh in.  Nothing to do but keep on keeping on.  Pot luck today for one of the practitioners who's having a baby.  I brought buffalo chicken dip and I know there are meatballs so should have some choices.  Going to push the water as well.  So looking forward to the day off tomorrow!!!

Good Morning!

DianeO, I think it is good that you can "feel" that you are too thin.  That's a nice internal gauge to have.  I want to affirm that adding more calories as your stomach allows is very important to keep you on the healing path!

130 today, no change in days.   I am now exactly 2 weeks out from surgery.  

On a whim, I tried to slide on my smallest pair of jeans.  They were too tight even for the lower part of my legs.  I am counting this as physical proof that I DO still have some swelling going on even in the non-surgical parts of my body.  

With my weight (annoyingly) stable, I'll stay the course with calories.  My daily steps are back up to pre-surgery levels.  Yoga will be prohibited for many more weeks. 

Lesa inspired me to try zucchini puffs....lets see if I can get that accomplished today!

Protect the skinny today!

I used pork rinds instead with Parmesan and Pepperjack as I doubled the recipe.  I also added a jalapeño pepper and garlic powder.  I made them again yesterday... Last week, I added broccoli and yellow squash...oh, the possibilities!!!

Thanks for the pork rinds tip in particular. I had been eyeing that same recipe and was skittish about the bread crumbs.

Enjoying my last few days of vacation.  Going into th gym today and puttering.  I did get one more closet cleaned yesterday.  More today...

Diane, I'm glad the normal routine for you is coming back.  And hoping you can pack on the pounds so you feel just right again.

183.5 so up a pound.  That's about right for going back to solid food.  Hope to stay put or go down again soon.
