Happy Saturday all!  Still plugging away at work, my shift yesterday was 14 hours and still managed to keep calories between 900-1,000.  Scale was 150.4 this am so up a smidge.  That's starting to really tick me off as I'm truly being honest and accountable with my food tracking.  I barely got any sleep last night so not sure if that affected.

Going to start one of the new books tonight,

think I will read re-wiring first.  Hope you all have a wonderful day!!

I am LOVING Rewiring !!! It pulls everything I know and believe in together in a very logical, realistic way. I can so do this !!!  Read that first for sure !!! Yes, operating at a sleep deficit can cause you to hold on to water to support your shocked system. Get some sleep !

I'm thinking about getting that book from audible.   But, I am wondering if this is the kind of book that one reads straight thru (nicely suitable for audible) or if it is the kind that you tend to jump around in, flipping back and forth which would be better on kindle?

Does this make sense at all????

Based on your solid foundational knowledge base, audible would probably work for you. Personally, I prefer the visual input... just my favorite way to process. Either way... this book is a game changer, in my opinion.

Hey I have been meaning to thank you for your post on another board which featured chicken, cucumber and lemon yogurt sauce.  I'm not usually much for lemony-chicken, but this really was quite lovely.

I didn't follow the recipe exactly but that flexibility is part of the appeal.  It is also making it easier for me to finish off the last of an instant pot turkey breast.

The recipe, for those who are curious: http://www.thewholesomedish.com/greek-stuffed-cucumbers-with -chicken-and-yogurt-sauce/

Greetings Fellow Finicky Eaters

130.5. Puppy is keeping me hopping though she has discovered the pleasures of sleeping on the sofa. One of my favorite activities.

House painter will come by today and check out the job. There is a big sale at one paint store for  3 days so we gotta buy the stuff, but can do so even though the color is not chosen.

Still wishing little elves would come at night and put my house in order and pick up junk and put it elsewhere or dump it.

Made tilapia last night with pesto sauce. So good. I make a small green salad but for some unknown reason, hubby won't eat it.

Oh well, life here is pretty good but I feel this storm gathering as my Mother's demise approaches and all the fallout that will occur after. The Mother of all junk filled houses is waiting there for me.

Stay healthy all.   Diane S.

Yes, like the cobbler's elves, right?  I frequently find myself thinking of that fairy tale --- I just re-read it the other day; I had forgotten that the cobbler was generous to others and thus deserving of the elves.  I need to up my generosity game.

Thanks a bunch for your mentions of simple, pleasurable, nurishing meals which is a practice I am trying to cultivate for myself and family.   I enjoy Frisco's food posts for the same reason.  It is a nice counter balance to marketing from the food and diet industry.
