Good Morning!!!
I'm so glad your massage was a positive experience, Diane. Hang in there! Carbon, I sure wish you were able to receive some medical attention for your knee. Frustrating, I know!!! I blew out my left knee in 2000 after falling of the stage at a Christmas program in front of an auditorium full of parents, students and faculty. Needless, to say I was a show stopper! It was repaired but still bothers me.
157.4# I've lost 2.4# for the month for a total of 8.5# since the end of May. I'm measuring today so I'll report back with hopefully a loss there. I'm concerned my body fat is not going down much. Not sure why! I'm pleased with the loss...just need to keep going when school starts . That will be the kicker!
I miss my little friend. She went home yesterday...Gym. Mow. Putter around the house. That's my day... looking forward to a visit with my parents tomr!
Here's a free ebook...haven't read it yet but it's about disordered eating. Thought I'd share....

Have a fabulous day!

My first post surgical weight: 130 something. No need to go to the tenths considering I was wearing my garment and drains. Surgery was 11 days ago. I thought it was important to have a number, even if imperfect, to help guide me during this recovery phase.
I can't deny that I am a bit disappointed (my goal weight is 125, but I like to run a bit south of that) but rationally I know it is too early to know what my real weight is. Much of my puffiness is gone but I doubt I am at baseline. Surely I am full of inflammation.
At last surgeon's appt she said she removed "about 2.5 lbs" where as after surgery she said somethng like just shy of 3 lbs. Clearly, she doesn't post her own daily weight to the tenths :). I will have the surgical report pulled at the next appointment --- I know it will be noted there in grams.
I have been a bit alarmed by my carb counts which are now running 120ish everyday. Usually, I am less than 80. The extras are mostly from fruit. Also, I have been having a 60 calorie bread daily since coming home ---- typically I would do that just 2-3 days per week. Changing this starts with the shopping cart.
Love you all! Healing thoughts for those that need them whether physical or mental. I very much appreciate this safe space.

A carb count of between 80 and 120 during maintenance (and surgical recovery) seems like an okay level to me. My nutritional counselor supports a range of 100-150 for people who are in maintenance.
I would, however, lose the 60 calorie bread. I think you'll find the ingredient list eye opening. Instead, why don't you try 1/2 of an Ezekial english muffin. Only 80 calories and truly whole grain and healthy. They are kept in the frozen food section at Whole Foods.
I am sorry to give you an assignment but would like you to take a look at my 60 calorie bread if you have the time. I am really interested in your opinion. Edited to add that I just read your main post and see how busy you are. Still interested in your thoughts but no hurry!
Since 2009 cancer diagnosis, I have in particular watched labels for what my brain considers Frankenstein-like and have largely avoided, even if it would appear in food rotation just once a week. I am always interested in what others see in labels so I can improve.
It does have some sugar/molasses that Ezekiel doesn't but I am not sure if I would call it a deal breaker. I am never opposed for trying something different. Either way, they are just a peanut butter vehicle that pairs well with coffee.

Your Dave's Killer Bread, thin sliced whole grain looks FANTASTIC! I'm personally not wild about the dried cane sugar being ingredient #3, but you can't have everything, right.
I was thinking when you said 60 calorie bread, something along these lines, which is highly processed and I would consider a Frankenfood. Sara Lee 45 calorie light bread
glad that killer dave's 60 cal option met with approval :). Thanks for taking the time to take a look.
Have a great trip. I am always lonely traveling by myself but there is also an infectious sense of freedom in not having to coordinate every action with someone else. Truly a great time to examine what feels best/is most important to you.
