127.4 today... with the wrap on ! I'm going to add some calories back in, as my body is doing some major repairing, and is using all of the fuel I'm putting in even though my activity level is very low.

Still off pain meds and grateful. I have such empathy for all of you dealing with pain ! It does suck so much out of you ! Treatment and "real wrap" later today.

Have a great day, all !

So I joined this forum after you had your procedure and the medical geek in me is dying to know.  What procedure did you have?  Are the wraps for lymphedema?  And I'm with you- I hate both pain and pain meds!!  Wishing you healing thoughts, sounds like you are making progress!

I hate chronic pain but could not function out of bed without pain meds.  I used to get in the hot tub 4-6 times a day and that helped but pumps need replacing.

I'm a clinical exercise physiologist (Master's Degree in Cardiac Rehab/Adult Fitness). I've work in cardiac and pulmonary rehab (mostly cardiac) for the past 25 years - I usually work outpatient rehab but do cover inpatient on a rotating basis to cover weekends and holidays and when the census is high.

I have chronic DVT and venous insufficiency in my right leg, most likely activated by 40+ years of morbid obesity and various traumas to that leg. The degree to which lymphedema does or does not factor in, is being assessed. At the beginning of the month, I developed acute cellulitis in my entire lower leg, resulting in a 104 fever and blood pressure of 73/35. I was hospitalized for IV antibiotics and 7-8 bags of fluids to stabilize my BP. Heparin to Eliquis transition was initiated. Due to excessive swelling, an area of my calf split open, and wound care was added. There was no "procedure" other than a week of IV intervention. Short term lymphedema consult to alleviate swelling and assess the degree to which lymphatic fluids may be playing a role. Back to my vascular surgeon next.  Thanks for asking.

Holy wow!  I figured it was ok to ask since you speak about it on this forum.  That is so scary, sounds like you've been through a lot.  I admire your positive attitude and perseverance.  Sounds like you are in good hands and also have lots of good knowledge to advocate for yourself.  Best wishes for continued healing!!!

149 today, a move in the right direction!!  Really pushed the water yesterday and went for a great 5 mile walk/run last evening so proud of that.

My daughter is still at Girl Scout camp (can't wait to get her back!) so I'm taking my two sons to the amusement park for a treat.  Packing lunch to save on both money and calories, but will probably treat myself to a small soft serve.  Still hotter than heck in Maine right now.  Amusement parks are so much more fun now that I know that every seat and safety strap will fit!

Have a wonderful day everyone!!

Wt 211.5 Down 3.5  calories 1169

Manage to stay very busy.  Eating is good. Nuts and yogurt craving is still high but in the background.  I brought some nut mix, it doesn't cause cravings.  There is no suitable yogurt within 35 min.  Forgot to eat my morning snack.(Never happens)  Little grazing before bed.  Water intake is down. I will correct that today.  Hope my back and mood can hang in there.  The tractor is very bouncey.  It is air conditioned so I can plug in my phone and mow.  Something very therapeutic about making grass shorter for me. Something anxiety producing about being somewhere that is not home.  Hoping it will all balance out.  For me it really is all about seeking balance anyway.
