158.9# I'm considering that a victory since I was 160# when I left for NM. I had Andy drag the scale out since it was my official weigh day. I couldn't wait another week. lol I will do this again after a holiday as it was a positive experience. I have experienced little or no guilt for my eating which actually wasn't horrible. And, I did no intentional exercise which was different but very nice. No pressure...Being kind to oneself has it's perks. I wonder how I would feel if the scale had not cooperated.
Today, house is being cleaned while I go to the Y for a session with my trainer, cardio and Body Flow (tonight). I'm still dog sitting; typing with her on my lap:)
I'm anticipating a BIG change...I have asked to be moved to library. Our librarian retired and after 25 years of teaching, I'm ready for a change. My super has applied for a deregulation from the SDE. Hopefully, we will hear soon. I'll need to clean out my room (Good Lawd) and learn a new job. I'm trying not to stress. If I like the library, I'll need to get my masters. I can't believe that I might be going back to school after 25 years. What am Ithinking!!! Scared to death, but this move would be a good thing in the long run for a lot of reasons!!!
Healing Hugs. Love. Prayers...for all in need.
I completed a Masters later in my career and while I had all the same anxieties you do about it, I discovered I was much 'smarter' than I was when I completed my undergrad. I'm guessing the same will apply to you!

I agree with Linda whole heartedly! I finished my Masters at age 38. Although the idea of going back to school was awful, I was such a better student with some life experience. And the time just flew by. I say go girl!!!

Hello my friends. I'm at 114 this morning. I'll take it.
We had a beautiful, peaceful day of riding yesterday, and today we will ride Going to the Sun Road. As I mentioned a couple days ago, that one is special!
On my way! Will check back later if I have wifi.

199. That hurts to see. I did pretty well yesterday. One small piece of pizza for lunch with veggies and fresh fruit instead of the cake. Everyone was raving about the cake, so I opted to take a very small piece to taste it. It was really good, and I walked away satisfied with that one bite.
Yesterday was my son's birthday. He has mental health issues and his birthday is a trigger so we always keep everything very low key. However, on my drive home from work, my daughter suggested picking up PIZZA because she made him a CAKE. But I got the pizza for him and figured I'd have a bite then a protein bar to make up for the loss of protein at lunch and dinner. I ate more than I intended (so hungry, probably from the LACK of protein) but still way less than ever before surgery. I had a sliver of cake and left all of the leftover cake and pizza at my daughter's house.
My son went out with his friends and I had no cravings. Being home alone used to be autopilot eating everything I could find in the house. I had a very low-cal protein shake to bring up my number then later drank water. All in all, I think I handled it pretty well, it could have been better, but it could have been waaaay worse. Today is fine, no cravings and on track for a good day.

Thank you! It was an unadulterated (no frozen banana or anything blended in) Premiere Protein chocolate shake, but it did the trick.
First, thank you for all the kind words and wishes. I appreciate it very much.
Another day in the neighborhood.... Mr. Roger's lilt is coursing through my brain this morning (though my lyrics are not his!)
Yesterday I spent grooming dogs and at the DMV. Need I say more? But I must say that the whole DMV ordeal was their clerical error! My house number is 458. They sent my renewed license to 488. Well, there is no 488 so the USPS sent it back as undeliverable. ARGHHHHH! At least everyone was pleasant and helpful.
Read a lot of The End of Overeating yesterday while sitting in wait. Good stuff. Helpful to understand the dopamine and opioid reactions in the brain due to the ingestion of sugar, fat, salt combination foods. Very good, indeed.
I am grappling a bit with my truth, too. I been eating off a weight loss plan, but I have not been binge eating. I understand that I have been eating sweets with regularity the past week or so, but not to the degree that I am feeling guilty or ashamed. Even went over a full day with 100% honesty with the shrink to check and make sure I wasn't fooling myself. That said I am frustrated by such a large gain in a short time: 6 pounds in 10 days.
I have all sorts of thoughts running through my head about what is true, what needs to be done, things that are filling me with anxiety over my weight, my eating issues, and the physical and neurological changes because of my obesity, how I react to foods, etc.... Just another day in the life of healing.

Right there with you, and I needed to be reminded of Mr. Rogers today. He was my favorite and he loves me just the way I am.
Different scales 215.0 Down 3 lb I should be here a week so I'm going with it.
Diane O. I'm so glad you are getting some pain relief. Hope you find some for your knee Carbon.
House sitting is going well. Juggling 6 inside dog personallities and pottie breaks is 'fun'. 2 boxers that are so jealous it ruins the group. The pitbull gets along with everyone. The standard poodles get along with everyone. The havanese just wants to be left alone. There is an upstairs group (home team) and a downstairs group (visitors) kennels for most at night time.
Eating is going well. Cravings under control for now. Grazing could be easily be an issue. They have lots of stuff in the house to eat and drink. Hopefully I will find something to fix and stay busy. He has plenty to mow if I figure out his big tractor with bush hog.
