Bailee looks a lot like my Sedgwick, who is quite the persistent vocalist when she wants milk. Their MPM (meows per minute) can be quite something !!!!

I am also envious of your experience with a shaman. A dream quest has always been on my bucket list. Continue to go forth, my sister, and live the life.

I am going to get a weight in the next couple of days even with garment and various hanging/implanted devices. And let's not forget swelling and constipation.  Painful constipation weighs more, right?

Still, even with all of that, I miss the accountability of the daily weight.

Had a good day of eating yesterday until 2 hours before bed when I grazed.  I was not hungry, just grazey.

For the first time ever, my husband is interested in politics. During my year of weight loss, he bought a guitar and started lessons.  Did any of you notice your spouses pick up new interests with your VSG?

Have a great day, Shel

PS, Paula--- excited for your excitement!

An active morning here on the board. Not much news from here. Went to shrink yesterday. Was able to talk through things, but not sure it made much difference. Basically, in a nutshell, I'm dealing with stress induced anxiety. I'll work my way through it, I know. It will just take time. In the meantime, the scale continues to move in the wrong direction. That's on me and I own it.

Started reading the book Diane S. recommended a few weeks ago. Quite a good read. I think everyone of us would relate to the beginning chapters. I'm looking forward to reading more about the magic spell that sugar, fat and salt combo foods cast upon us.

Gawd awful day ahead.... 2 dogs to trim and in between I have to deal with DMV. They took my money but neglected to tell me I missed my license renewal deadline by 2 days and have withheld my license. I'm sure that will take hours to clear up. I might just pay again to avoid the hassle.

Good for you for going to see the shrink Kairk, it takes a lot of courage sometimes to admit that we are struggling!  Sorry to hear that you are working through it right now!

What is the name of the book you are reading???

The End of Overeating by David A. Kessler, MD

The shrink is a regular thing - twice per month. She works mainly with patients who have disordered eating. It has proven to be very helpful over the past 18 months. I am much kinder to myself now.

I feel your pain... really.  I think the only thing I haven't tried is Thunder Shirts.  I eat my stress. In the form of chocolate yesterday.  My thoughts are with you.  You find any good anxiety answers pass them my way.
