Greetings fellow journeyers 

Well 131 today so thats better than any gain. Taking the puppy for walks seems to be a pretty good way to get steps in plus wears out the puppy. Hubby has been busy moving some dirt around so he can get new gates put in the back yard. The old fence end had to be moved for the siding so we decided to put in gates instead.  I am still picking away at getting rid of junk and organizing papers. Will make a run by the recycle place today. 

Yep, checking in here is a big part of my morning routine. Get coffee, check my sites and slowly take my pills with coffee.

Anxiety. A subject I am far too familiar with. Why is it so prevalent and why does it make us eat?  Might be a side effect of our society and its demands and I sure think its the cause of a lot of bad destructive behavior. What do I do about it?  Keep busy with my hands, take an anti anxiety drug, do relaxation breathing, cognitive therapy of trying to talk myself out of whatever is worrying me, and just find something constructive to do. Thats about it.  I don't do so well at meditating because I have a very busy mind and find it almost impossible to stop thinking. Just try to redirect thoughts instead. Sometimes drink wine.

Linda your trip sounds so awesome. Wish I could go to Glacier. A friend wants us to take a road trip starting up there and then going south to all the big national parks ending up in Utah. Sounds great but not while my mom is on hospice. 

Diane O I am so glad you are about to get some relief from the big "L" issue. Must be so uncomfortable and I hope the treatment goes well. 

Welcome back to those of you who have been away awhile. Getting back into the groove starts with adjusting routine and this is a good way to start. Seems to help me to jabber on about my relatively sedate life and get my thoughts together for the day. Plus, I have an opinion on practically everything.  Take care all.   Carbon wish you could get some help for that knee!  Diane S

Glad to read that everyone is doing pretty darn well! Me, not so much, but like always, it shall pass. Dealing with some self directed anger, disgust, confusion, shame, etc... Nothing we all haven't dealt with at some time or another. 

Hope this week brings everyone just a bit closer to his/her dreams and goals.

Aw, thanks Paula! I'll be fine. I always land on my feet. Just am not able right now to pinpoint why the rug seems to have been pulled out from under them! LOL...sigh...

Thanks for the welcome back, everyone.  I'm on Central European Time, so my day is almost over.  Day 1 of liquids wasn't so terrible.  I felt true hunger for the first time in awhile.  Since all I had was protein shakes, chicken broth and water, I didn't have any of the dreaded low-blood-sugar-shakiness.  Even though I only had calories very infrequently today (which gives me the shakes when I have some carbs, especially without protein).  Duh, lesson learned.

Today's weight 190

Not sure i can post every day, but I plan to check in more regularly.  Good to be back.

 

5'5"    Goal reached, but fighting regain.  Back to Basics.
