Wt 220 up .2  cal 970 yea!

Cravings were better yesterday.  Took my mother to the doctor and completely forgot about a morning snack.  Unheard of.  Couldn't seem to get my head in the wood work so not much work done yesterday.  My brother will be up visiting my mother today so planing to eat out.  Maybe I will eat before we go.

I seek calm in chaos, I seek balance in extremes.

Wow! Impressive calorie count yesterday!

126.6 - down. I had a good day of eating yesterday - no junk. No exercise - still sore from boot camp on Thursday and didn't get a chance to anyway.

Kayaking today with DH and son #3. Son #2 doesn't want to go (16 year olds!) and son #1 is working at a scout camp for the summer so unable to! Oh well, the 3 of us should have fun anyway.

Have a Super Saturday my Svelte Sidekicks!

Morning everyone

well Kairk, you and I were the same.   Had a medical procedure that was very nervous about.   It was a non- fasting one so ate carbs before for alleged calmness.   Turns out the procedure was painless.   Ate more carbs in relief.   What is that???

back on track today.

one day at a time, and sometimes it is a nail-biting hour at a time.

Glad to hear that procedure is in the rear view mirror. Oh and you made me chuckle with your 'before and after' carbs. Boy but we're a nutty lot, aren't we!! Lol

Good Morning !!!

Holding at 134.4. Both Sadie and I did well at our appointments yesterday. Sadie's leg is completely healed and she has no more restrictions !!! What a blessing for her to have her back yard back !!! She's been such a trooper through all of this !  My PCP is happy with my progress, although she did put me on a third course of anti-biotic as there is still swelling and an open wound. Have lymphedema clinic intake Monday, and hopefully a massage and wrap. (Eyes roll back in anticipatory pleasure !).

Hey LE Sistah,

Glad to see your post.  Your "eyes roll back in anticipatory pleasure" comment made me think about my LE flare a few months ago.  The LE physical therapist noted that that wrap should be snug and not hurt.  But, there might be "sensation."  She is a yoga gal, too, and I felt she was using sensation in the same way we do in yoga poses.

Oh, the sensation that first week!  It kicked in about an hour after that first appointment. It was NOT painful but it was brain overwehlming to the point where I was almost entirely unfunctional at work.   I'm not saying it was a bad thing, she seemed to hit it just perfectly that I could keep it on and it did exactly what it was supposed to do.  But, my eye rolling was not with pleasure ;0  It was more oh-my-freaking-God-I-can-think-only-about-my-arm-and-nothing-else brain freeze.

Having said all that, I am sure your appointment/treatment will be great, those peeps are so good at what they do! It may take them a while to put the genie back in the bottle. But, that will give you time to learn how to better self manage that new body of yours.

How is your pain and compression for LBL ? I will be living this experience vicariously through you, as this recent LE / DVT / cellulitis experience has totally eliminated any opportunity for me. I can't wait to see pictures !!

I know how you feel about having opportunity eliminated -- I don't think I will ever risk LE chaos for plastic surgery.

And, I HAVE been thinking of you as I look at the fluid collection patterns in my body post LBL.

My LE arm seems no different since LBL although it was swollen like the rest of my body with IV fluids.  It does seem like my upper body is draining those extra fluids faster than my lower body is.  I still can't see my giant, ropey, varicose vein on my right leg tho I am sure it is still in there. My legs look like they did when I was MO. In contrast, my Fitbit fits almost normally today so arms are much closer to normal.

I will consider posting pictures eventually tho I don't know what they would actually show.  I didn't do before pictures (not my style) and I suspect that my after pictures would be meaningful just to me?  LOL, we shall see.
