Guten Tag! Ich bin ganz beschaftigt mit Besuch vom Luxembourg.
Translate that to: I'm very busy with company from Luxembourg. Ruby's new European mama has come to fetch her and take her back to Luxembourg and to meet her great Uncle Rango. (Honest, the woman owns a male who is the son of my oldest female Airedale.) The woman, Elena, speaks no English, but speaks Russian, French and Luxembourgish and a little bit of German with a few known words of English. I speak English and German , and took two years of Fren*****ollege, so we are getting by. We are speaking and understanding one another quite well using a mix of mainly German with smatterings of French and Engli****'s rather a hoot! Tomorrow I will say goodbye to Ruby. That will be hard. She's gone from 13 oz on March 30 to 25 pounds as of today.
On the weight front: Had a nutritional counseling session yesterday at 9:00 am. She is shutting down her practice for a few months to have her baby, so that was my last session for a while. Dealt with a few issues that keep recurring. Hmmm.... go figure, right? LOL! I also committed to not weighing twice a day (which I have done for years and years). Generally I weigh first thing in the morning after getting up and having a pee. That is the weight I post. Then, before bed I weigh myself again. It sort of prepares me for what to expect the next morning. So last night I did not weigh myself. I had to force myself to skip it. It will be easier tonight. I was down 1.2 from yesterday when I got on the scale this morning.
The other job I was beset with was to work on the ideal "Devon Food Plan". That will take some time. I really need to put some careful thought into that. I'm formulating ideas, but not quite ready to put it out there. I've been down this road before so I need to plan with my new knowledge and not make the same mistakes I've made in the past.
Well, I'm kind of bushed. This bilingual life to which I am very unaccustomed is fatiguing. I fell asleep mid post here and woke up half an hour later to finish! Hahahaha!
