Good work on no junk food Paula! I think I might benefit from some 'clean' time too.

Good Morning!
I am home! I am having a VSG reset of sorts. I don't know if it was very light eating for a couple of days, or what, but restriction is back in full force. Somehow this makes me more willing to weigh/log. All good stuff!
It seems most of us are working on something difficult right now. I hope everyone treats themselves well today.

So glad to hear you're home Michelle! Hard to fathom lbl as day surgery anyway, so I'd say you're still ahead of the curve. Sleep lots, enjoy the drugs.

Just shy of 3lb. She said no fat, just skin. So, no liposuction or contouring. She put in 6 stitches for muscle/fascial tightening because "that is never the wrong thing to do".
Everything is hidden under a compression garment. I haven't seen anything yet! What is exposed (arms, legs, hands, feet), is really puffy.
of course my LE arm is big so using a compression wrap on that.

Happy Hump Day Family !!!
Back under 140 !!! "Trust the process" has taken on new meaning. Prior to my VSG and finding all of you, I had no experience reaching then maintaining a goal weight range. I am fortunate that I had 6+ months of stability under my belt, prior to seeing the scale jump 15 pounds. With all of your support and sharing of experiences, I took a leap of faith to trust the process. I'm moving in the right direction.
This experience has underscored the importance of identifying and addressing the root cause of the symptoms that finally get our attention, as soon as possible. I didn't address the root cause of increasing water retention issues other than to get my water pills increased. I may have avoided all of this by getting a referral to the lymphedema team sooner, and addressing the primary issue... poor lymph system drainage. I encourage all of you dealing with chronic symptoms to persevere in resolving those root causes as soon as possible. Quality of life and having the capacity to trust the process depend on it.

7.7 down from coming home! Your leg has got to feel better.
I have chronic pain. Was self treating with alcohol for years. Before WLS I switched to narcotics from my doc. Don't know of any other way to fix the root cause. Been to 2 specialist and the both said not a surgical candidate. I don't like the options but it is what it is.

Greetings Determined Beings
Well we should all give ourselves hugs because we are all pretty determined. We check in here and keep working at what seems like an impossible task. I am up to 132 today for no known reason. Walked the dogs yesterday and ate no junk. Think I am due for a mega poop. TMI.
Ocean Diane you sound so upbeat. Attitude helps heal so heres hoping it helps you. Glad you are not sweating those fluid pounds. I looked up Lymphedema on Mayo Clinic web site as I really don't know much about it. Very informative but sorry to read there is no real cure.
Well puppy is trying to eat the screen door. Yesterday she ate some kind of poop while on the walk before I could stop her. She picks up rocks, bottle caps. pine cones and other assorted junk and sometimes I have to dig it out of her mouth. She is nothing but a mouth on four legs in constant motion.
Our living room looked like a tornado hit it due the Tesla chewing up cardboard and junk. DH got up early and cleaned it all up. What a sweetie.
Sold 7 pieces of artwork yesterday. Yay.
Lets all remind ourselves how we care taking good care of ourselves by engaging in healthy eating and how destructive junk food is. Think of potato chips as cigarettes.
Carbon I sure wish i knew some cure for that knee. No fun to be sidelined. Take care everyone. Diane S
