Still hanging out at 113. So glad to have all of you here to help me keep my head in the game and learning new strategies too!

Vet confirmed our poor kitty experienced an allergic reaction and no eye infection so we have some injectable antihistamines for him. We can relax about that now because he's doing a lot better.

Oh my we love this area. Have I mentioned that before? Lol. Last evening we rode up the mountain to watch the sun set over the valley. Always a thrill to ride up and down the tight switchbacks, with a new view on every turn. Pic below in reference to one someone mentioned in their post.

We have some Triumph family friends riding through today on their way to the annual gathering we are going to this weekend as we now prepare to move on to Nelson, B.C. First lunch guests!  Gotta clean the house!  Not!

You are just 5-6 hours drive from me.....I played around with a "quick" road trip to meet you.  But, even if you folks were available, it wouldn't work out.  But, I am inspired to visit this area.....maybe later this summer near the end of my medical leave.

Michelle you've been in my sights too. We contemplated swinging down to Seattle from here but we are committed to the Nelson event this weekend and then you will be having your surgery. Also we have to go back to Alberta after that to rendezvous with some Aussie rellies but hope to dip down over the border after that. Not sure if we will go east or west from Kallispell/Whitefish but will keep you posted. Would so love to meet you!

I had a relatively good food day, but did not log anything (again - oops!). My food did include movie popcorn and a little too much I admit. I have NO RESTRICTION for popcorn. I believe it is the same for many.

Weight the same as yesterday.

Exercise was nice - 3.6 miles on the elliptical in 45 minutes. (6750 strides) Kept my heart rate steady right around 140 the whole time and was able to carry on a conversation, albeit brief and labored, about Doberman puppies with my trainer who stopped by to chat between his clients. I can remember there was a time I could not speak when on that machine!

I chose to shove down my envious feelings yesterday. I didn't want to look too deeply at them. I know that those feelings come from my "should" thinking. I should eat in such and such a way IF I want X. Or my most common thought, "Why can't you do that? IF you would just do such and such..." So, yeah, when I read about Dexa scans and all of your low ass body fat %s, I get all pissy in my head with myself. So instead of being envious, I would like to explore what you three eat to achieve such results. So, Paula, Shel, Diane O... are you willing to share a typical day with me? Foods, macros, calories, exercise, etc...? Not saying I can do it, but I'd like to know.

Shrink thinks I am still dealing with the aftermath of having food restrictions placed on me externally for 43+ years. She hints (cuz you know a shrink never comes out and really says) that having foods restricted at such an early age, however well intentioned, can cause all sorts of anxiety around food and food choices. I guess I'm living that.

Not posting my weight lately (or for how many weeks I have not been posting it) points to my embarrassment or shame about gaining weight during the puppy weeks. So, just to put it out there I gained about a pound a week for 14 weeks. That's really not hard to do for me. When you think about it 500 or calories per day over is not hard at all to manage. I went from 197 on March 26 to 211 on June 11 (the first day of summer vacation). I blipped up to almost 215 after Long Beach and the 4th and am back down to 211 today.

So there it is. Full disclosure. Back to my weight in January. I am hoping the sharing of this truth will allow me to get on with it. (The internal scream is building......so, so silly...) I am glad to know that I am not the only "freak" when it comes to all this stuff.

I wish I loved rabbit food.
