Around 128 today.  Going to explore another part of the island today, may even check out the cardiac rehab department at the hospital.

Have a Luau tonight. Instead of the normal buffet type fare, this one serves the meal tableside in 5 different courses with each course being from a different Polynesian culture from the first settlers on Hawaii. With each course the dancers tell the story of their people. Not sure how a VSGer eats a five course meal, but I guess there will be just a lot of sampling.

Have a great day my friends!

Whoa!  Last full day in Alaska.  Lotsa steps, food a bit grazey.  Will see how the scale sorts me (like the Harry Portter sorting hat) on Saturday morning.

Here's a NYT's link on using Instagram for help keeping to a eating plan.  I thought this applies to how we all use OH, too --- each looking for different types of participation, finding what is personally helpful, leaving what isn't.

158.6#  Yay! for sugar free days!!!  My food has been on program and plan for  today to be as well.  I went to BodyFlow this morning and did 45 minutes on the elliptical.

I'm not sure what the rest of the day holds... I need to clean the guest room closet.  I'm entertaining the dog or she's entertaining me. I'm not sure which.  She hasn't eaten yet but sometimes doesn't until she feels acclimated.  She seems happy!

Have a great day, y'all!

Our new destination/RV leveling is giving me a jump up to 114 this morning.  The party needs to be over.  Wine and trips to DH pie collection (he has a special cupboard) have to be stopped for now. The brakes go on today.

I had a lovely ride south yesterday and DH, kitty and The Weekend arrived unscathed this time around, thank heavens. We are still finding travel prep tiresome but we are getting better at it!

Our new location is stunningly beautiful. We've been making an annual trek to Osoyoos for the past several years. We love the unusual landscape with its prominent mountains, desert and lake.  It's a thrill to ride down the mountain into the valley, with the vineyards, deser****er and sunshine all in equal prominence!

I messaged Lorna a few days ago.  Understandably she is still struggling with the loss of her life partner and the residual trauma of finding him in that condition. She has returned to work but is exhausted and sleeping a lot.  She tells me she hopes to return to us in time, but right now she is just trying to make it through each day.  It's been very difficult.  Let's all send her strength as we think of her now.

Greetings Determined People

OMG Ocean Diane, I am so sorry you are hospitalized. Never knew what cellulitis was (thanks for the explanations folks) but it sounds pretty miserable. Kairk is right - you must just think about taking care of yourself and not worry about weight and such. So glad you got yourself to the ER promptly. Take care and stay in touch.  A therapist once told me to  practice meditative healing (for my gimpy hands) sort of a self hypnosis where you quietly focus all your energy on healing. I am usually not into stuff like that but I think it can be helpful. Mind and body are all one thing. Also makes you feel like you are doing something to get yourself well.

Speaking of mindfulness, I saw a new book advertised on Mindfulness in Eating or something. New Harbinger Publications which has a lot of this kind of stuff. I have a couple of their books on calming anxiety which has been an issue in the past year or so due to crazy family.  I have not read this book but might be worth looking at.

Wow everybody, so much going on. Loving the travel reports. And puppy reports.  Our Tesla continues to grow and astound us with her energy. But she does curl up on the sofa with me in the evening. Tortures her dad constantly but as she gets bigger he will roughhouse with her more. Right now he is gentle and tolerant. The old girl dog just sees the puppy as someone to possibly steal food from. But puppy eats like a pig. She will get a walk today.

Gallery duty this afternoon. It will be fun since my featured show is up and I can talk it up.

Dr. Cirangle will be up here saturday so support group and appointment. I am at 131 today which is down a half but he will probably rag on me nonetheless.  The worst part is Friday night is our art opening where there will be tons of cheese and dip and crackers and I gotta stay away from that junk.  Think i will bring a bag of carrots.  Hmm. What wine goes with raw carrots?

Stay healthy all. Sending good vibes to Diane O and Lorna and Momsy and all who need them.

Peace all.  Diane S.
