VSG Maintenance Group
4th of July !!
Thanks for your kind remarks Shel. In truth, real maintenance is probably about no longer obsessing about food or lack thereof. I am not there yet. Ate some m and m's at party today and a few other not so good things. but didn't dive into the chips or rich deserts. Its all about balance. Sometimes the harder you push, the more it pushes back. But I still need to dump a couple of pounds. oh well. Diane s
Goldilocks 112 today!
Happy Independence Day to all our Americans and happy birthday to ME! I'm sixty and I'm skinny! Reflected back and realized I haven't been skinny for a decade changing birthday since I turned 30! Half my life ago. Saddens me to some degree but no less grateful to be here. I'll shoot for two in a row with 70, right?
Such an incredible, happy day yesterday! Gorgeous scenery and twisties and many belly laughs with hubby. It's such a gift to be in that lighthearted place! Today we've got some rain so we probably won't ride. That's okay, many days and roads ahead!

Happy, happy birthday Linda! I'm not too far behind you, I'll be 60 in February, and look forward to it, because I will be having my plastic surgery soon after my birthday. I've wanted a tummy tuck, and always said, "If I ever lose all my weight I'm going to have PS". Now that I've lost all the weight, it will finally happen.
5' 5" tall. VSG on August 4, 2015/ Starting weight 239.9/ Surgery weight 210.9/ Current weight 137.4/ Goal weight 140/ No longer overweight, now a NORMAL weight. Now that I'm at goal, it's time to move on to maintenance!!!!!!!!
Happy 4th to all! (Okay, I know it's just another day in Canada, but what the heck, it's Linda's b'day, right?!)
Scale was unkind pushing me up another .4. BUT.... I had a kick butt workout yesterday followed by 2.5 miles of heavy cardio. I was really physically tired after my workout. Took a half hour or so to recuperate and I was great for the rest of the day. Still sore, though. I also ate an ample share of popcorn at the movies last night, so salt, salt and more salt. I'm guessing that has a little to do with the number I was shown today.
Taking the sugar free syrup to the pancake breakfast was a real win! I ate two sausage links and then not quite 1 whole pancake. Using the sugar free syrup left me completely craving free afterwards. YAY!
Did a little garden shopping and went to pick up some clips afterwards at OSH. OSH was having a "We pay the sales tax day" sale. HA! We found a conversational set at a price I couldn't pass up. I had a pocket full of VISA gift cards to use, so the set of 4 arm chairs with deep red cushions and huge round table was just over $200 out of pocket. Oh, and a $10 delivery fee. Can't be beat!
Off to work in the garden (or take a nap - Ron is fast asleep in his chair, so I'm thinking, "Why the hell not?!").
