The fellow that came and picked up puppy yesterday grew up in Nova Scotia, then lived in Alberta (Calgary area) for several years. He said "Eh" quite often. I'm assuming that is a colloquialism of those from Nova Scotia and Alberta, sort of like the North Dakota twang????

Canadians from all parts of the country say 'eh'. Very hard for us not to!

Well, here I am with great regret - an innocent victim of etiquette. I'm going to whine, but not for long. And yes, it's old and a boring song....

So, school is through, one of the pups has left to go to her new home in Arizona. And now we are a five puppy household. Two more will leave next weekend. I honestly wish all 4 that are leaving soon would have left this weekend! I love the little buggers, but they need to move on to their new lives and people. I think I mentioned I am keeping one of the boys. His name will be Ace. (For Diane: Show name will be Kairk's Grand Slam.)

The scale tells the story of reckless debauchery for the past 11 weeks or so. I have had episodes steeped in sugar binges, ridiculous emotional ups and downs (I think lack of sleep?????), and a high level of distractibility and lack of prolonged concentration. I have also had periods of simply not caring about nutrition and eating whatever is easiest (this past week especially). I looked at my weight chart and noted that I have gained 10.5 pounds since March 14.

I have no qualms about owning my reality. There is no question in my mind as to why I have gained weight. Sucks a little that it comes on so easily, but so it goes. (An interesting observation for me is that Ron has been intrenched in the same types of behaviors as I. This is much more common for him, but as someone for whom it never mattered what, how, when and why he ate and now it does, he is perplexed and concerned by his increasing girth.)

I have a show this afternoon, Ron's SIL's retirement party this evening and some sort of dinner thing with friends tomorrow. Tomorrow will be a clean out of the cupboards, fridge and freezer day. Anybody want a 2 lb bag of Ghirardelli chocolate squares? Yup, I have a big old bag of 'em! Only 70 calories per square. Like I can only eat JUST ONE! Bwhahahahahaha!

Detox mode must begin on Monday. (Ron wants to detox, too. I'm skeptical, but will help him along as I am able.)

So there you have it. Confessions, my truth, whatever you wish to call it. Why is it that now I wish to eat???

Greetings healthy people

"Cuz thats what we really are.  Guarding your skinny is guarding your health.

Kairk lately I have been wanting to eat a lot too. Seeing someone with a sandwich or bowl of pasta at the studio and I think I would like to eat it. Have not done so. Stayed within my range my only splurge being cheese.

So the family is all in town but only nephew is at our house. Loads of fun, the puppy loves him, older dog Chip always sleeps with him. Yesterday was a madhouse shoveling junk out of guest room.  Contractors are going to skip monday so no pounding and such.

So far the others want to go to the farmers market but they better hurry up. I will skip that.

Still thinking we will do a dinner here tonight so will have to incarcerate the dogs due to dog hating sister.

Not sure how this scattering of ashes will work. wind blows in from the ocean so they end up in your face unless you plan it right. Hubby thinks we should go out on a boat. I get seasick and kinda don't want to.  Fortunately its unlikely that anyone will get it organized.

131.5 today. At least its warm and sunny but windier than heck. does not bode well for the ash issue.

Take care all my friends and have fun and celebrate life.  diane s
