No weight to report, as I wasn't home to weigh in. Carbon.. I agree.. I am extremely grateful for this safe place. We all do our best to balance so much.
I will accept nothing less than unconditional love. I'd rather live alone than settle. Moving toward acceptance of what that will ultimately mean.
Looking forward to being totally back on plan tomorrow. I'd like your feedback on this whole liquids before meals timeframe. I absolutely don't drink while eating or at least a half hour after eating. I'm finding myself cutting down on the time lapse between drinking and eating. I'm feeling my pyloric valve still does its thing with a five minute break between drinking and dense protein. Thoughts ?

Personally I drink right up to mealtime. No break at all, other than how long it takes me to pick up the fork, get a piece in my mouth, chew and swallow lol. I've always heard wait 30 mins after but realistically I cannot comfortably drink for a minimum of an hour after eating dense protein - sometimes two hours.

My dietician has been a dietician forever but relatively new to a job with a big focus on bariatrics. Our company sent her to a couple of conferences to help her bone up. She said that the speakers at the bariatric conferences say it is aok to drink right up to the meal. It simply doesn't matter if there is a 30 minute break or no break at all. (This came up because I confessed to drinking soup broth and then eating the solids right after.)
She, however, would still agree that no drinking for 30 minutes after meal is non-negotiable.

Well Crap
My sister in law really is having kidney problems. Family communication is ridiculous. We went by today and talked to her and doctor. On top of everything else, she probably has endometrial , uterine and liver cancer. She is miserable. They will biopsy the stuff but I think its likely she will refuse chemo or radiation. Can't blame her. She is a wonderful person who had done a great deal of good in her life. Her jack ass husband might even come back here soon. I don't think she has long and is in terrible pain. Prayers please. She has lost 150 lbs during the past 18 months due to effort but I am also afraid due to the cancer growing.
She has had uterine fibroids that she has neglected for years due to fear of surgery. If anyone out there has odd symptoms, please don't neglect them. There is a fibroids center at UCSF. We tried to get her to go there. Wish I had forced her to.
Take care of yourselves and all those you love. Sorry to ***** Its been a bad day. But at least I am not obese and have a totally normal BMI. And a wild new puppy who is wreaking havoc on our household. Life goes on.
