Ola!

My yesterday was good.  I feel so much more at peace with sleep on board and being caught up at work.  And I think no coincidence that I had very few intrusive snack wishes dancing thru my brain.

124.3 this morning.

Now it is a race to the weekend.

Carbon.... that is just such an impressive number of steps !!!!  Still my hero !!

My most important number for today is 500 !!!   I have logged in MFP for 500 consecutive days !!!!   I truly believe that if I weigh/measure/log, everything else falls into place.  I LOVE my non-fuel category, at Linda's suggestion.  I also like how Paula and Shel have made modifications to track the trends they have identified they need data on.

127.6 today.  Lots of water retention issues in the legs.  The flying and humidity, along with after work yard work are catching up.  I'm thinking I'm pretty solidly in the 125 to  126 range.  I just can't stress when I can see my legs are puffy.  I may start measuring...  just to have data on what the high and low fluid day measurements are, in relation to my scale weight.

Way too hot and humid to cook... went with my sashimi theme and splurged on sashimi grade salmon at the Fishmonger. Got some seaweed and organic ginger coleslaw too.

Go forth and protect what you have worked so hard for !!!   We've got this !!!

126.4 - exactly the same. 1567 calories (520 junk - damn cookies) 158 carbs, 64 fat, 122 protein. 30 minutes on the treadmill at lunch 4.0 mph @8% grade, 11322 steps - lots of cleaning when I got home. More cleaning on the docket for today. Doing major Spring cleaning a little late. So sick of my messy house. I'm calling to arrange for carpet and tile grout cleaning throughout the house!

Good morning my fellow journey takers!  Once again, I get so much wisdom and strength from all of you!

My yesterday went well.  Food was in it's place, though I was physically hungry, and had a couple of high protein snacks, which did the trick.  Didn't get any work done around the house and yard, as I'd hoped.  By the time dinner was done, the lure of watching the Red Sox game was much stronger than doing yardwork was!

Weighed myself this morning, and, once again, my weight was the same as it's been for close to a week. Devon, you were right! The scale was stuck. Luckily, there is a full can of paint in the bathroom, as we are going to repaint the ceiling, so I tried your trick, and I'd actually lost a pound. I told Jay (DH) about this problem. So, of course, when he went downstairs, he got on the scale and it was stuck at my weight. Drat! I should have known he'd try too, so now he knows what I weigh!  Never found out if he actually tried weighing with the can of paint too, as I needed to leave for work.

I'm trying really hard not to project about my weight.  My daughter's graduation is next Thursday.  My former doctor, who adopted her daughter six months before my daugther was born, from the same place, will be there, and she was always after me to lose weight and I want to look my best. We have a wedding on 6/18 too.  I really want to be in the 100's (I'm at 202.5 right now) for both. The problem is that, I have a history of self-sabotage when I start projecting ahead.   I also know, realistically, that 3-4 lbs. won't make a big difference in how I look, but psychologically it makes a huge difference in how I feel.  I know when I feel better about myself,  it comes across in the way I carry myself, interact with others, etc.  There's more of a glow.  But...if I am working on losing and taking good care of me, I should be fine, no matter what the number on the scale is.  Now, if I can just get my emotions to believe that, like my head does, I'll be in business!  :)

Happy Thursday!

Hugs, Mary

Something that BB once said that stuck with me (and I might be remembering this wrong but just roll with me.)   She had a day where weight was up but rather than feel fat that day and wear slouchy clothes, she put on cute clothes that fit well.

So now when my weight is up, I put on clothes I like even tho my brain is telling me they are too fitted for me to wear when I am up a few pounds. Once the cute outfit is on, I can see that the clothes fit and presto! I feel better about myself.

I think I (and maybe you) need more strategies that maintain our glow even when the scale isn't cooperating.  (Particularly, your stuck scale!  I am outraged on your behalf.)

Great thoughts Shel!  I will have to find more strategies!

Thanks for your outrage!  I'm thinking of buying a new scale, as I don't know how long I'll be able to go with needing to hold something heavy to re-set the scale.  Also, I'm pretty private about my weight, so I'll have to find a way to unstick it each time, or the next person who weighs will know what I weigh.  Eiyher way, it will be a big ole pain to deal with!

I'm up to 114. Way too many poor choices this past couple weeks, with most of them extra high in salt and fat. It's a super busy and rather unsettled time around here. Fortunately DH went grocery shopping yesterday so better meal choices ahead.

We are almost ready to take our first short practice trip with the RV - with bikes and cat loaded!  Leaving Monday morning for Waterton Park, which is part of the Glacier Parks system that extends into Montana.  Fabulous scenery and riding roads in the area.

Still messing with whether we're giving up the rental home at the end of the month. Even though the landlord has been generous with renogotiating, we are not quite where we need to be so thinking we will bite the bullet and pack up. Even if the landlord came to our exact number, it would not be anywhere near as financially lucrative as having virtually nothing to pay if we stay solely in the RV and store our things for 2-3 months. Needless to say, we aren't looking forward to moving out, but we're starting to get our heads around it.

Love Glacier National Park!  Great fun.  I remember many windy roads thru mountains, must be wonderful on Violet.
