Well, I AM meeting those recommendations!  Thanks for taking that off my worry plate.

Labs have been fine.  They were being monitored every 3 months but jump to a 1 year interval at the 2 year mark.  That makes me nervous because last checked late nov/early Dec 2015 and not again until Dec 2016 (2 year post surgery)

Oh yes, I do wonder about that post op extra calorie thing that seems to be universal with everyone.  I can't even imagine it applying to me!

Good Morning!

160.6#  I'm officially almost on Summer Vacation.  I still need to finish cking out and will go back on Tuesday for a short time.

I'm dog sitting an English Bulldog, Pearl...love her!!!  I'm hanging out with her today and resting.  She sleeps a lot...hehe!  Nothing like Diane and Devon are experiencing...lol  She's easy.  I slept all night and until 7:30 am.

Diane O. - your trip sounds like lots of fun.

Mary- loved your dance video.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!!

Well, wonder of wonders, gifts of gifts, miracle of miracles or super bad news depending on how I want to look at it: My scale is not working! I could not weigh myself after my day of total crap eating! (Okay, if I'm going to be 100% honest my crap eating consisted of 1 small scoop of M&Ms from Ron's stash, 4 cookies, and frozen yogurt late in the evening. My portion was about 1/2 of everyone else's (about 4-6 oz I'm guessing - 1/2 a small cup), but it took me three little mini sessions to finish my yogurt. Ya think I would have been done when I was done, but no, I saved the rest and ate it about an hour later. It could have been much, much worse!

I did, however, have a very nice workout and cardio session yesterday. I am already sore from the chest presses and the rather intense ab work I did. That was a very positive aspect of yesterday!

Sleep: Had a nap yesterday afternoon 45-60 minutes, went to bed early for a Friday night (11:40ish) and slept through until 4:00. Pups wanted up and out, so I took them out, cleaned up after them and had them back in the pen at 4:35. Went back to sleep for and hour before they started in again. At 6:00 I moved into the living room and dozed until about 8:00. So while not a night of full sleep, I feel more rested than I have all week.

We have a group of Airedale breeders coming today to evaluate the puppies. We call these events Puppy Parties. We will grill Tri Tip, have Ceasar Salad, warm vinegar potato salad (it's the German in me) and pound cake with fresh strawberries and ice cream for dessert. Ron has agreed with me on my left over pound cake strategy, so WHEW! (Food saver bags, give as much away as possible, and the rest goes into the deep freeze!) My plan is to go a little heavy on the tri tip - maybe 4 oz or so. That will make it hard for me to eat much of anything else. my capacity seems to be set at 6 oz by weight- volume seems to actually matter less.

I am hoping at least one or two of the breeders sees the litter as I do. Even if they don't, I'm pretty sure I'm keeping the boy I like. He is my heart puppy from this litter and I also think the most well put together and well balanced pup.

Sleep plan #47: Going to Home Depot after Puppy Party. Going to spend 50-70 bucks on a big 8X12 or 10X12 piece of sheet vinyl. Going to put that down as flooring over the hard wood and set up a new improved and bigger pen for the pups in the living room and get them out of the bedroom. The change of venue will be good for them anyway. Keeping my fingers crossed that this helps in my quest for better sleep. Sadly, the pup that complains most loudly in the wee hours is also the one who is going to her new home last! LOL! She won't leave until the 29th of June.

Happy Saturday, all!

Greetings Happy People

It strikes me that we are all pretty happy with our lives these days. Thats a good thing. 131 for me which is good. Tilapia and half an avocado last night was a good dinner.

Yesterday was chaos with the house siders, plumber, neighbor replacing fence and Tesla Tesla Tesla.  Fortunately she sleeps until about 6 am and hubby gets up and takes her out. she still drags around on my bathrobe like a caboose. I know my suede slippers have a short life left no matter what I do.  but she is cute as can be and comes when called. Dangerously smart.

Hubby has been eating a lot of junk food. Bothers me. But I don't nag.  I sometimes drink too much wine and am trying to cut that back.

Kairk good idea on moving the pups. Can't believe you had them all in your bedroom! We had a similar set up awhile back.

Hubby is taking Chip on a long walk. I get to puppy sit.    joy.   diane s
