122.8 today, not positive but I think the same for 3 days. I think that has to be a record.
I am at work today to catch up.
The only thing that saved me from donuts this morning was that I came in well before 6am before fresh donuts were available. It is amazing how I have been feeling the pull of that sort of thing this last couple of weeks of marathon work. Well, not just donuts....if there is anything in arm's reach I want it.
So, I can't keep anything but my allowed food for the day within arm's reach. And sometimes that is gone long before I meant it to be. I still obsessively open up my desk drawers looking for stray food. There is nothing.
It is also amazing that once I had my Saturday peanut butter toast, the donut craving was entirely gone. Magic.
Have a terrific weekend. 3 day weekend for us Yanks.

Good Morning!
I forgot to mention that the lights on the Ferris wheel have been totally refurbished, to the tune of 1 million $, and the LED displays are amazing !!! Lots of patriotic themes.
I am loving all of the walking !!! Food has been pretty good, but way too much wine yesterday, and not enough water. Loving catching up with my daughter !!
Devon... I'll be just about adjusted to the time change by the time I fly home Monday... I'll feel your deprivation Tuesday !!! Take some good naps this weekend !

Thursday after weigh in went pretty well. I had half a club sandwich for lunch--but none of the sides. And the pizza I had been salivating over for a month--well, I could only eat one piece, no alcohol. However, yesterday was a different story. My mom and I had good intentions. After a deposition out of town, we went to lunch--hungry--at 1:15. 45 minutes later, after the waitress had given us no attention since taking our order, and was wrapping silverware!!, we stormed out and to the nextdoor bakery and sandwich shop. Ravenous, we started our lunch backwards by splitting a piece of italian cream cake. It was totally off my diet, and probably derailed the rest of the day. But I have to say, if ever there was a cake worth derailing you--this was it. Probably best cake I've ever had. It was better than my grandmother's, way better. What I don't is that I felt so guilty about eating this food. There's a side of me that would like to think, well, I've really blown it now. Make the best of it while it lasts.
I made the choice to indulge. It was great. Worth it, actually. It was neither good nor bad. It doesn't have to derail me.
So as I get ready to fly off to the Keys, I'm okay with being a little more relaxed with my eating. But I don't need to just eat for the sake of eating. I don't need to drink just because I'm on vacation, or eat more. If something looks really yummy, and I'm not full, it's fine to have a few bites. I don't expect to lose weight over the vacation, but I'm really trying to focus on not intentionally overeating because I can and because I've just finished a diet. I don't normally have this problem, but I need to be extra cautious because dieting has always made me want to swing the pendulum back the other way. Combine that with vacation, and that could be a recipe for disaster.
well, I can't "like" the scale messing with you! Booo scale! Such a tease.
Nice "zero" junk and low cals. I gotta think that will pay off shortly, just be patient.
I love new devices tho ultimately too cheap to update very often. Got my eye on an ipad pro, tho, before my next work trip. Cuz, it is for WORK! I can rationalize anything.
Some day, when you have an extra moment, can you tell me what you recommend for protein (or dietary in general) requirements before surgery? My PS told me to make sure I was getting in extra protein because "WLS patientss labwork numbers always lag a deficiency."
Thanks!

My guess is you are getting in appropriate protein with your current post VSG diet which is way more then recommended for non WLS peeps (i.e. normies should get about 5 Oz per day on average, not counting protein from dairy). How are your labs? Mine are all great. The main is needed more calories post op for healing, oh darn, eh?
