The 1000 calorie level is much more doable for me than 800 was - so although progress is slower, hopefully it will also be steadier.
Getting ready to go on vacation in a couple of weeks, and I can relate to Flying While Comfortable - one of the best parts of this journey! I remember before how I would make sure to sit between my kids so I could take up some of their seating room - really uncomfortable, and now that they are 12 and 14 it would not work any more.
The other thing I love is that when I travel I can walk practically forever without my back and legs getting tired. Last year we went to Disney World and I even outlasted my kids.
Here's to easier traveling and different sunsets!

Completely with you on the 1000 calorie level. That's my limit now too when I need to drop a few pounds.

I believe there is something truly wrong with the fact that I delight in the fact that I got almost 5 hours of sleep. LOL!
Weight same as yesterday. 202
What I am not finding delightful is the lack of incentive to eat in a healthful manner that comes with this amount of sleep and rest. It's not so much that I am eating handfuls of junk food every chance that I get. (Sure I've had some crap calories, but I'm not in a binge cycle.) It's really the lack of motivation to spend the time to plan and cook nutritious, protein forward and weight loss appropriate foods. Instead, by the time I'm done with school, clients, dogs, puppies, and other chores I'm done. I don't WANT to put the effort into food preparation. So last night it was half a burger and 2 of Ron's onion rings and a bite of his chili fries. The night before it was 2 small slices of thin crust pizza and a little salad. Not awful, but not great.
Open House tonight. I asked Ron to be in charge of dinner. Will be interesting to see if he steps up to the plate. He is always hesitant to cook for me. (His skill when cooking meat is modest and I'm a big ole meat guy, so.... I get why he worries about cooking for me.) 10 to 1 we end up with take out, though I'm hoping for steak and a salad.
Weekend will soon be here and Monday is a holiday.
10 school days left. I'm so looking forward to adequate rest.
EDIT: ACK.... forgot, I wanted to fully disclose that I did do some crap eating yesterday. I had a scone in the afternoon after the vet visit for the pups and a couple handfuls of "Zebra" popcorn at school. Ron brought a BIG bag of M&Ms home from school yesterday, too. I saw them this morning and my first reaction was "I want some". But of course, chocolate in the morning just isn't doable for me. I'd be a wreck the entire day if I started off the day with sugar!
I totally get it about being too tired to care. I don't know how you're even managing on such little sleep for so long! What about getting ready made things at the grocery store like rotissiere chicken, bagged salad, etc. for dinner? It would take away the need to plan and prepare a healthy meal, but still give you something a little healthier than getting take-out. Just a thought and feel free to pooh-pooh me if I'm on the wrong track! :)
You are so sweet! Sadly, I have a rotisserie chicken in the fridge. Ran out of salad, tho. So I have done the prep ahead thing to a degree, but to be honest I don't even want to deal with heating, plating, making a salad, and cleaning up (tho Ron does most of the cleaning-love him for that!). Not proud of this, but I own it.
My husband also does most of the cleaning and I'm not to proud too tell everyone. I love that he has no problem doing most of the work around the house, including the laundry. I'm still working part time, but he is now retired, so it's fair.

I just remembered that peanut M&M's is another one of those no-no foods for me. Cannot have them in the house. I do have some outta sight out of mind plain M&M's in my pantry somewhere. Funny they don't bother me. But the bag of fresh peanut M&M's I could not say no to. I made some Christmas trash popcorn gifts for my husband's work (maybe like zebra popcorn + M&M's??) and there was going to be half a bag of beautiful, glorious peanut M&M's left. In went the rest of the bag with that last batch of popcorn. I think it's because my grandmother always had beautiful candy dishes with...you guessed it...M&M's.
Anyway, good for you on your discipline. I pretty much have to limit them to splitting a movie bag with my husband.
112 today. Food choices were better yesterday. Not that they've been terrible overall, but have fallen back into some evening snacking. With 'treats' of course. It's a slippery slope for me.
We have some uncertainty ahead of us, but things do seem to be falling into place. We were thinking of giving up our rental and looking for somewhere a lot cheaper for the winter, but our landlord does not want us to go. He has offered a big discount but not quite where we need to be. We are continuing to explore how to find a workable solution. Realistically, I think the landlord will concede to our number, but we are thinking of subletting our home for the summer months (furnished) and handing over the larger amount to our landlord to offset a cheaper rental amount for us. We want to do our bit if we can.
Evenings are full of BBall right now, with Thunder in one Conference Final and Raptors in the other! Of course that's where the evening snacking is occurring lol.

Hi all
Ain't it fun to fly thin? I traded seats with a tall woman who was having trouble scrunching into a really small space in the back row some time ago and was proud to be able to do it.
BB you look spectacular. Welcome to the 6 year club. You are a total success story and leading a great life. Congrats. I remember the "friction thighs" and used to joke that I was not allowed into national forests during fire season. Enjoy your thin life and while none of us should ignore an extra couple of pounds, lets not let it spoil our lives. Just deal with it.
Had my annual physical and platelets are pretty much back to normal. Dr. got after me for drinking a little too much wine so i gotta cool that. Having a puppy wears you out. This one grabs my bathrobe and drags around behind me like a trailer. She pees outside but poops in the house. Sleeps mostly though the night. Try to get our male Chip (her dad) to chase around and wear her out before bed time. Her favorite toys are plastic water bottle, newspaper and my slippers.
Will the the old girl out for a buggy ride in a bit. Things are calming down a bit with my mom and I have an alternative service lined up if the current one doesn't work out. her 91st birthday is coming up. Never thought she would make it. One tough cookie.
All the best thin friends. Can't wait to take puppy to the beach in maybe a couple of months. diane s
