morning and welcome To our newest member.

calories 1156

steps14986

trying to focus on protein but yesterday 359 of those calories was an unessecary carb.

Had a bit of a shock yesterday.

An acquaintance who had this surgery two years ago has gained back  half of her weight.

We met in a coffee place and she was in tears.  I do know the feeling.   She has had a very rough emotional road with family and work issues.  ( I know where she works and it is a toxic stew  )   There are so few jobs in this town that she feels she cannot afford to leave.

My heart hurt.  Have suggested this site and I Think she was a bit encouraged by the time we parted.

Have a glorious Thursday.

Good morning, all!

121.2 this morning.  Down, likely because my arm edema is down, too.  I find it interesting how some mornings I really, REALLY don't wanna weigh because I think weight will be up.  Yet, weight is down.  Glad I looked.

Big presentation is late this afternoon so I have all day to feel triggered.  I have rescue turkey on hand.

BB, you ARE a success and I enjoy watching you work maintenance years out from VSG.   One thing I want to do different this time is make changes long before an extra few pounds becomes an extra zillion pounds.   This whole thing (weight loss and then maintenance) is a messy process.   If stepping back from the forum is what you need right now, that is, of course, what you should do.  But, really I am hoping that you will come back and post at least occasionally because I would love to know how you are doing.  I mean, bikini challenge, come-on!  That's a cliff hanger :)  I have enjoyed and benefited from your musings and have never felt your posts are toxic.  I wish you all the best, particularly in these upcoming weeks as you explore how to drop a handful of pounds.  Dieting does suck but is perhaps necessary in the short term?  Heck, I don't know.  Hope to see ya around!

Shel

Boy do I relate to the nervous energy around presenting!  But you have a plan Girlie, and I know you're gonna rock the presentation too !!!

Good Morning All !!!

Carbon.... 15,000 steps !!??   You REALLY set a bar !!!   I use my BMR and activity level to eyeball my TDEE, though I have my MFP calories defaulted to 1550 and don't add back exercise calories. I found a "conversion" from steps to activity level, that might interest some of you:

1,000  - 3,000 steps   =   Sedentary

3,001  - 4,999 steps   =   Moderately Sedentary

5,000  - 7,499 steps   =   Low/Light Active

7,500  -  9,999 steps   =   Moderately Active

10,000 - 12,499 steps =   Active

12,500+ Steps            =   Highly Active

At the upper end of my sweet spot. Opened pool on Sunday, and have to get the water level up enough to circulate chemicals and keep algae at bay, when I get home today !!  Looking at some mini-pergola plans for a sunny corner of the pool deck.

Have great, on plan days all !!

We took the cover off of our pool on Sunday, but it is far, far from being ready to use, especially as the temps are way too cool right now.

Good morning second family. I'm at 113 today.  Yesterday was better food wise but there was still a lot of opening and closing the fridge just to look. I'm off to the doc for a routine check up and then running some errands. DD is coming over later so that will be nice.

Lorna we miss you and look forward to your return.
