VSG Maintenance Group
Friday, April 22
First 1/2 day at the scrapping retreat went well foodwise. A couple hundred over my calorie goal but 128 G protein and 165 for carbs, better stats then the day prior. No sweet or salty carb treats either and I are my grilled chicken on salad with a banana for dessert and didn't partake in the lasagna, garlic bread or Oreo cream pie. Happy to have this group to be accoutable to.
Happy Friday!
Paula
Wow Paula good job. That's tough. Great protein figures. I would say if there's something you're really wanting, go for it (with a plan in hand!). But as long as you're not deprived, great to stay on track.
As for me, I had another pretty good day. I was only able to workout for 40 minutes and 200 calories burned yesterday--but that's more than more normal nothing.
I had no physical hunger yesterday. But I was very hung up on wanting a mid-afternoon chocolate snack. I considered getting a lowfat latte, but decided if I was going to drink calories, I'd rather use it on a beer later.
Yesterday:
B-2 scrambled eggs, coffee
L-5 oz. turkey breast and feta burger, frozen italian veggies
D-approx. 3 oz. grilled chicken oven romaine with salsa as a dressing, 2 bud lights, then a couple shots.
Calories were right around 1000, even with the alcohol. Ugh I don't even like bud light, but it seemed the least caloric thing to be drinking and it's harder for me to drink so it takes longer. I stuck to the food plan, at least.
Oh and the scale was 160.2!
Today's game plan is breakfast of yogurt and fruit, lunch of leftover shrimp and asparagus, and then maybe go eat steak out tonight
Good Morning! I've been reading this week, just not posting...I'd start to post and then felt like I had nothing to say or felt like a broken record. I have not been making good choices most days this week. I should have never said I felt more in control...lol I'm not really sure what void I'm trying to fill. I'm digging, though; trying to figure it out.
So, for today, I'm detoxing again and see if I can string a few days together. Home is safer for me because I don't have junk in the house. I'm going to get a walk in and mow the yard. I have a notion to mow and weed my neighbors yard. It's making me crazy!!!! lol His yard is the worst in the neighborhood!
20 more days of school!! I'm ready!!! We did have a wonderful day at the Nature center at the National Reacreation Area to celebrate Earth Day. Almost 10,000 steps. We planted a tree, too. The weather was perfect.
This quote was on a former students' FB page...Something to think about!
What you can tolerate, you cannot change! If you can tolerate those extra thirty pounds, you won't lose them. If you can tolerate an unhappy relationship, you will have one.
Have a Fabulous day, y'all!!!!
Lesa
Fabulous Friday to ya, my friends!
Wow, lots of great actions already posted today. You are inspiring! Diane O, I think you might be on your NYC trip as well? (This will sound dorky if you have now posted before I finish this) If so, I hope you are having a fabulous time. I know there is no one in better shape for the zillion steps you are likely to get. Lorna, as always, I am sending good thoughts your way.
122.6 today. I can see my lymphedema arm is beginning to become congested again...I shall squeeze it clear this weekend
I walked/skipped at lunch yesterday and yoga'd after work. I have added some handweights to my home lunges and squats that I am quite inconsistent about remembering to do. My legs are a bit tired today. I love it.
6.3 hours of sleep last night. Not 7 hours but still better than my average the last several weeks.
Speaking of lymphedema, I ran into my LE specialist at yoga last night which was fun. I have completed my treatment but we knew that we would run into each other because we haunt the same yoga studios. Plus, our daughters not only attend the same dance studio but share a ballet class. Small world!
Glad you are all in my world, too! Have a great day! Shel

112 again. Food choices are still weird but I'm going with it for now.
Truck mouse casualty count now stands at 6! DH plans to take the headliner (ceiling) out this weekend, which seems to have been the primary residence. Yuck! It hurt us to kill them but it had to be done :(
Just last night I read this quote in a book a guy wrote about his former life in prison, which resonated with me and fits this morning's theme:
"One hundred percent dissatisfaction brings about one hundred percent change" Honourable Elijah Muhammad.
ADD Almost forgot to tell you I had the privilege of attending a presentation by the lead driver of the Mars Rover! Very inspiring!
