I ended up 450 calories under yesterday, and weight was 128 even today... top end of my "sweet spot". My disordered thinking would be to immediately restrict calories and increase activity today, because of the counter intuitive weigh in. Instead, as I logged my food for the day this AM, I considered that I will be just as active and busy today so I'm getting doing full fat Greek yogurt, and making sure I hit 1500 calories today.
Lion King was fabulous! Those costumes enhance the movement and animation of the animals unbelievably! Made me think of the flow and synergy we are working toward with our bodies.
Positive thoughts and energy for us all to walk the path we've worked so hard to find.

Gorgeous day! Mount Rainier is out in all her glory. I'm hoping Paula had good weather as well on her scout trip.
Diane O, I live disordered thinking as well. It is good to bring it out into the light so it can be recognized and then ignored, even if it can't be entirely abolished.
122.2 this morning. I'm still a bit sore from yesterday's hike but plan on getting in activity today. It is hard to imagine choosing to be inside a yoga studio today but we will see. Buster didn't get up with me this morning which is very unusual, he must be pooped from yesterday's hike.
Otherwise, I am cooking today, in large part to continue to restock the freezer with my to-go meals. I have also been working on my tiny vegetable garden. DH has installed a wifi watering system and my vegetable garden has a zone. Now I need to figure out how to use it although supposedly it is checking the weather and deciding if watering is needed.
Have a great day!
Shel

113 and holding. It's been a weird weekend of waiting around for people who are not following through. DH and I are both feeling annoyed and I'm noticing that this emotion is triggering me. Hrmph!

125.4 on Saturday, no scale at the campground this morning . 26,187 steps with 89 "flights of stairs" registered on my Fitbit yesterday. Like Shel I got in lots of hiking with significant vertical distance! Weather was beautiful, eating wasn't too bad at all and I had a great time! Love to camp!
Weather is still nice today so I am going to do a walk outdoors for exercise even though I am a bit sore from yesterday. Grilling out salmon tonight - yum!
Paula
Great steps! I ended up just under 20,000 for the whole day with 143 flights which, I suppose, explains the tenderness in my upper, outer legs. (Yoga this morning helped) Besides a few areas of straight up and straight down, there was a lot of rolling up and down in between the two that apparently added up. Never know that I can trust all the numbers, but still enjoy looking at them.
Glad you had fun!

Greetings skinnies
Well I am still at 131. I know its lack of activity as eating has been fairly even. And I am off to an afternoon of scrabble playing which means only my brain will get exercised.
Family crisis continues. We may have to move my mom to residential hospice care as the in home care service can't deal with her cranky roommate. I am going to make my younger brother fly back and deal with this. His turn.
Hoping to go visit our new puppy this week as they are getting old enough for visitors.
Keep the faith all. Diane S.
I got to play with an 8 week old English bulldog today in the grocery store parking lot. I was the crazy lady who sat right in the grass with her and played with her while her people waited for her to do her thing before heading home. They had just picked her up from the breeder. So, so, cute and snuggly. Sun and puppies. Nothing better.
Hope your brother rises to the occasion.

198 and some change.
Up two pounds from my few days of reckless abandon. I was able to dial it back some yesterday, but the cravings have been awakened. I am in the midst of deciding or not if I have the commitment within to begin detox today.
Good news - Ella's x-rays came back negative for any hip abnormalities. I didn't realize how deeply I was worried about that until I got the results and a wave of relief swept over me. So, yes, I win with my soft tissues diagnosis. Now it is simply the uneasy task of keeping a young dog quiet so she does not re-injure her leg.
We have gorgeous weather this morning. I am in shorts and flip flops and comfy! I have two dogs to groom, then papers to grade (that I keep putting off. MUST GRADE THE PAPERS! Grading over the weekend is probably my least favorite thing about the job!)

Post delayed by grooming! LOL!
My clients today are two recent VSG post ops. very interesting indeed. The husband is acknowledging that his eating issues/compulsions/addictions are playing a much greater role in his journey than he had anticipated. I spent some time trying to soothe him with the knowledge that he would not starve on 500 calories per day. He is 4 weeks out tomorrow and getting 1000 per day. YIKES! Both he and his wife are carb heavy and we talked about that. The wife is already using/abusing Quest Bars. It was hard to be kind, yet sharing knowledge and encouraging them to look at food in a different light. I pointed out to the wife that she was already engaging in food rationalizing behaviors, e.g. "If I need more protein at the end of the day I can have a Quest Bar and not a shake because at least the Quest BAr is like eating a candy bar." When I pointed her thinking out to her, she understood, but I can tell it's going to be a struggle for either of them to get the weight off and maintain it, if some paradigm shifts in thinking do not happen soon. They both used my surgeon, so I know they have good sleeves. It's just a matter of learning to use them to their advantage.
