Hi fab friends. I'm visiting with 112 today. Just saying a quick hello for sure. Going to run a few errands with Violet this afternoon, then off to the Juno Awards this evening (mini Canadian version of Grammys). Should be a fun day. Rob has ribs ready to go on the bbq too. Yum!

I am impressed that you attend something like Juno Awards. Also impressed by running errands on Violet, so causal like. Have fun!

Hi all,
199 today. Bothers me, but I get it. I've done some stress eating the past two days and am incredibly sore from my workout with trainer on Friday. So a perfect storm to push the scale up. Much too close 200 for my comfort level, though.
Friday and yesterday were very stressful on several fronts. First Grant collapsed at home on Thursday. Taken by ambulance to ER. He's been in ICU ever since. They finally found the bleed. Couldn't fix it. Long story short - emergency bowel resection yesterday afternoon.
Ron is sick and in his own words, "I don't do sick well." So he's been a bit of a chore - not bad, though.
Then Blue gave me quite a scare. Her temp has been up and down and she was on her way to eclampsia during labor and we really hit her hard with calcium. Her fever spiked to 105 yesterday and she ended up in the ER herself. Testing was all inconclusive, but her vaginal discharge coupled with the high fever warranted putting her on antibiotics, though it can be problematic for the pups. Blue seems very much better today, but still has copious amounts of viscous discharge.
Thus, my absentia yesterday... and my stress eating.
Aww Devon - what a day you had! Sending you good energy today. Rest, my friend - that's what you need

Goodness. Hopefully Grant can finally heal, now. I was worried about Blue and pups when you didn't post yesterday. Hope she has turned the corner. I am sure Ron will perk up. My husband doesn't do sick well, either. Hope you find ways to calm your nerves.

Greetings Skinny addicts
As much as we all are or have been food addicts we are now addicted to being skinny as shown by how much we work at it. Our lives are largely driven by being healthy instead of by ice cream and chocolate. Seems like a good trade off.
Costco used to carry some really good frozen yogurt bars that had good stats. Don't know if they still have them. My hubby likes to get skinny cow bars and various frozen treats. He has some made from soy milk. I almost never eat them. There are these little 40 cal sugar free fudgesicles that are pretty good. Guess I'd just rather have a glass of wine as my treat.
BrownBlonde you really run the food gauntlet. But I sure would not let fear of temptation keep me from fun socializing. Just keep looking for the good choices and I hope you have supportive friends.
Carbon whats with all these colds? You need a trip to the tropics. Take zicam.
Geez Devon, sounds like day from hell. So hoping Blue will be ok and the pups thrive. Haven't seen ours yet. Next weekend maybe. And sure hope Grant can be helped. So scary.
130.5 today so working on my great 2 pound mission. Took the dogs for a good walk (Liza in the dog stroller) and then did some gardening. Pulled a lot of weeds, trimmed some stuff, and put california poppy seeds in the bare areas.
Eggs and turkey bacon for dinner last night. Easy when nothing else is around. Think i will try to make a BLT without the bread. Frisco probably has done it.
And its sunny and calm today and I have some tulips up. Even a rose budding out. We have about a zillion planters on our deck. Time to get them cleaned out and potted up. diane s
