March 31st... Out Like a Lamb !

Good Morning !

Happy last day of March ! I had puppy dreams last night ! Gosh, those pictures just make me swoon.

I've been struck by the number of posters on multiple boards who use the word "finished" in reference to their eating plan, eating phase, exercise goals. Have you noticed that we don't use that word ? We know that our goals are consistently being reassessed and modified, and that the process of living a healthy lifestyle is ongoing.

I got a great walk in yesterday and had a great day cleaning and "springifying" / deChucking . Shel and Paula... also looking at different additions to salads and yogurts. I had an epic fail yesterday, when I spread  tbsp. of almond butter on top of a Quest bar.

Lorna... we're sending positive thoughts and hugs your way !

     Have a great day !

Everyone seems to love Quest bars - I have not tried them I tried the Pure Protein bars and didn't like them - still have some sitting around from early surgery (maybe even before surgery!) What is your favorite flavor of Quest? Was the epic fail for the almond butter Quest bar combo due to the flavor or just too many calories?

123.6 on the scale. All is good! I'm eating around 1,500 calories and staying pretty steady. I can live with that number! Only able to get 30 minutes of exercise in at lunch yesterday, but some is better then none!

I will probably do bootcamp and yoga today. Webinar at noon and dentist appt. at 3:00.

Almost all of the snow is gone now - yippy! I am hoping we don't get any more, but in Wisconsin, we are not safe until at least mid May. I'm anxious to take my exercise outside again.

I think I will call for a Plastic Surgery consult soon even though I won't do surgery for a while. My husband doesn't seem to be very on board about the expense of it all. I checked pricing on my local Center's website and they list arm lift at $7,700, body lift at $25,000 (I hope that includes inner thighs as well) and breasts at $12,000 for a lift with augmentation. Seems a bit pricey to me, but what do I know? They do have 15% off for a second procedure and 30% off for a third and 50% off facility fee for 2nd procedure. I also need to factor in lost work time and I am doubtful that my disability would kick in for an elective procedure. Maybe I can somehow get it covered via a mental health angle?

Stay the course my sexy sisters and bodacious bro!

I eat a Quest bar at 6:20 AM on the drive to work every day.  It allows me to balance out my eating and drinking times, as I eat at 6:20,  ~9:45 and 1:45, then dinner. The only way I can get my calories and protein in, is the four smaller meals/snack. I was too low on calories yesterday because knew I'd miss a meal due to the procedure, so I added the almond butter to the Quest bar.  It was too runny to attempt while driving. It would have worked with a plate, knife and fork.

I view Quest bars as a functional way to fuel my body...  Apple pie, Banana Nut, Strawberry cheesecake pair well the 1/2 apple, or 1/4 c. berries I have with them.

Double Chocolate Chunk, White Chocolate Raspberry, and Lemon  - in that order.

I will admit the White Chocolate Raspberry are a minor trigger for me, so I eat them only when I'm feeling well suited to dealing with a possible trigger.

I too like the white chocolate raspberry a bit too much!  I also like the coconut macadamia flavor and the lemon one.

Oops, I think its coconut cashew, not macadamia - doesn't matter, it's good!  :)

Good morning everyone

And indeed thinking of you Lorna.

congratulations on the newest and dare I say cutest members of the family!    And  welcome to our newcomers to the Board.

The night before at 3am, if you please, ate a whole solid chocolate bunny, to the tune of 1500 cals per bunny.   So yesterday total calories were out of sight.   2678.

the only slightly mitigating factor was the 2 hour walking session.

You new parents try and get some sleep.   That applies to all of us I would suspect.
