I have been up for over 30 hours now. Guess what? I didn't weigh this morning! Ha! I'm still in the same clothes as yesterday.

Blue is being a great mom! Her uterus got very tired and needed some drugs to help her along, but I had them on hand and had the medical phone supervision to administer everything properly. IT's a great service run by a friend on mine out of Colorado called WhelpWise. Karen, the founder of WhelpWise, is a former NICU nurse. When she started breeding dogs, she discovered a niche that had not been filled and now she has her own company.

First pup came at 12:30. The last one at 8:40. Then we spent a good part of the next 90 minutes looking for the 7th pup that never was.

So, here is Blue's brood. 4 girls, 2 boys.

So glad that all is well!  Congratulations, I know you are going to enjoy that whole family.  So stinkin' cute.  I grew up on a farm and litters of this and that were everywhere. In contrast, my daughter (a city kid) has never known the joys of new born puppies.

Give them all a squeeze from Aunt Shelly

I did with my first litter and then never again. I had a rough and tumble little Cairn pup I called Jack. His new owners called him Stuart and it just seemed too damn sissy for this little guy and for some reason it bugged me. So now I just call them by their rickrack colors. So Blue Boy, Mr. Green, Miss Pink, etc... Though the one with the orange rickrack we're calling Peach because Ron thinks it's more peach colored than orange.

The close up picture of those little faces makes me swoon.  They are so precious Devon.  Congratulations Devon, they are so beautiful, and Blue looks tired but happy.  Good luck, and please keep us updated with pictures.
