11:30 PM and Blue is now in "active" labor (which is still slow going). Going to be a loooooooong night. Food has been pretty good - normal breakfast, lunch and snack - though I ate the Quest bar out of stress, not hunger. Have also had some unmeasured portions of almonds. Now, dinner was a bit of a different story. Ron had strong urges for comfort food. He suggested pizza and wings right off the bat. I said no! I compromised and we got burgers. I had mine bunless and I did have a few bacon cheese fries - seriously, just a few. Ron ate his stress. I had to chuckle. He had a 1/3 pounder with cheese and then some other kind of big azz burger and all the bacon cheese fries. Better him than me, right?! LOL

I love dogs. Blue is napping between contractions

Devon, hope all does (or did as it's the next day) go smoothly and Blus is comfortable.  Hope you get some needed rest too!

Sending good thoughts to Devon and Blue. Of course the puppies will be born at 3 am a half hour apart. No snooze for you.

Imagining the big giant burgers almost makes me gag.  Good luck.  diane s

I should have been so lucky! First came at 12:30 and the next at 2:30. Then fate smiled only to tease me and #3 came at 2:50. #4 came at 4:50, #5 at 7:25, and finally #6 was delivered manually at 8:40. Then we spent the next 90 minutes looking for puppy #7 that didn't exist!

I'm tired!

Congrats Devon and Blue.   I once was told to expect five puppies but there were only four.  Sometimes its hard to tell.  Six is perfect. boys? girls?
