Victory Over " Sugar Craving" Today! :)

First, I need to give an update. I have been working on cutting back on using so much "splenda"and sugar free hot chocolate mix powders. That is now under control. I am being very limited on how much I use. I can now go several days without using any splenda but I do use it occasionally. My SF hot chocolate mix envelopes have gone from 8 envelopes a day to 2 a day. That is an improvement. I agree with Kairk about some of us have a sugar hormone that if I eat one piece of candy, I can not stop at just one! That happened to me BIG TIME! I think I may have it under control but not sure. I do realize now that I can not allow myself to have ONE piece or I'm doomed! One turns into 3 and 3 turns into 6 or more! I told my husband to hide the half of bag of miniature candies,,, you know the individual wrapped snickers, milk ways, twix bars, etc. ?? He said he would hide them... well I found them today in the kitchen at the bottom of the pantry closet. I found myself getting the bag, opening it and then I thought of Kairk! He had mentioned about the sugar hormone and what it could do and how I will feel after eating sugar. (in which I feel depressed and tired and crappy). With the bag opened, I said, NO, Karen, NO, you don't need this. I closed the bag up , put it back into the pantry and called my grown son into the kitchen. I told him I know where there is some candy. He asked where? I gave him the whole bag and he took it away. It was a close call for me. Thank you, Kairk! Everyday is still a battle but I am learning more of myself and feel like I'm getting stronger. I am at 143.6 this morning. My goal is at 130. I am tracking my food now but the exercise is not in place yet and I'm not getting the water in. This is my next goal. I wish I could drink my water like I could eat those snickers bars!! LOL

I'm so pleased for you that you took a moment to think it through. That's awesome. I hope you are proud of yourself. That was a heck of a victory today. Your son deserves a pat on the back, too. He's good to his mom!
