Monday, March is it the 28th?
Throwing that pie out took rational thought and strength in the moment! Good job!

Good Morning! It was a lovely day with family. I had a free pass yesterday and am back at it today. I've got my work cut out for me. Detox!!! I'm doing shakes today and drinking a boat load of water. My water intake stinks ...
Laundry. Session with my trainer. That's my day.
Hugs. Love. Prayers. How's Grant? Lorna, love to you!
161.8 on the scale today, which can be expected after a holiday weekend. Like everyone else, no guilt. Sometimes it's the guilt that gets me into more trouble! So I'm gonna stick with I did nothing to be ashamed of--just indulged over 2 days--and back at it today. Although it definitely feels like a Monday. Going to be hard to get back into the saddle.
Dress shopping with my DSD was more difficult than anticipated. She's at that teenagery age where she decidedly doesn't want anything too frilly of an Easter dress, or anything too adult. And everything she found was no church or cold-rainy-Easter-weather appropriate. Finally we found something that would do! And treated ourselves to Outback (her favorite) for our troubles.
Yesterday went pretty smoothly. I find that no matter how much I make ahead for a holiday meal, those last few minutes of getting things set out and hot is tense! But I was able to do it within an hour after getting home from church. It was the first Easter my husband and I hosted at my house. I felt a little guilty stealing my mom's holiday, but she needed a break. And to see how proud my husband was to host made it worth it. We had ham, cheesy potatoes, deviled eggs, pickled vegetable salad, peas, glazed carrots, hawaiian rolls, ambrosia salad, and I made a lemon cake that was a yellow cake filled with lemon curd and iced with cream cheese frosting. And picked up a store-bought carrot cake for DSS. Crystal and china were used, and candles were lit. It was fun! And I split a piece of my lemon cake with my sister and now I'm good.
I thought my MIL wanted to host holiday dinners until her sister let me know otherwise! Like you, I was happy to take them on and she was happy to let go. I bet your mom enjoyed her new status as guest.

Hi friends! Scale is staying steady at 113.
Yesterday was very quiet - even had an afternoon nap. Our dinner was delicious and no dessert was served. I chose to have two beautiful glasses of wine instead - one mostly consumed before dinner, a few small sips with food just for pairing pleasure, and later a second glass slowly sipped over the course of the evening. Very enjoyable and I didn't miss the sweet treat at all!
I haven't been sleeping soundly. I'm now on the highest dose of the antidepressant, which doc says should be more effective in treating the anxiety component. After two weeks at this dose it's really no different. Doc also prescribed one of the old style antidepressants for me to take at bedtime for sleep, but I'm reluctant to take it. I took it years ago and while it did help me with sleep, I experienced a really quick weight gain. So again, I'm not sure the medication trade offs are worth continuing. No decision on that right now.

Linda, I too have trouble with sleep - either falling asleep or staying asleep. I started using essential oils recently. I either put a couple of drops of lavender and a couple of drops of a combo oil called citrus bliss in a small diffuser, or I put some on a tissue/cotton ball and rub it on my pillow case. I'm so surprised how much better I'm sleeping. I still may wake up due to my bladder, but I can generally get back to sleep. I'd been taking 3 mg of melatonin too, but I was still having problems until I started with the essential oils.
Carbon, regardless of your choices yesterday, if you're within caloric range, I think you can call that a win in maintenance!

197. Every ounce is understood and happily accepted. While not out of control at all, I did make choices of indulgence. As I mentioned, we went out to brunch. I ordered ha**** was not good. I chose not to eat it, but instead had a bit of Ron's chicken fried steak (such diner crap food, but it has its place) and ate my two eggs. I also had a small bit of chocolate - a handful of Cadbury super-mini chocolate eggs (not the cream filled things - solid milk chocolate). My big splurge though was I ate two delicious cookies from a favorite bakery.
My brother had to cancel dinner, so we decided to have dinner at home. We went and bought a small ham, brussels sprouts and Ron asked for mashed potatoes, so I made them (used the IP btw - fantastic outcome!).
Salty ham, cookies, chocolate, still sickipoo yesterday (though much better today) all adds up to the number on the scale.
In the saddle today. Good food day planned.
Grant news: colonoscopy inclusive. More tests planned for today.
Blue: Off her food this morning. Her temperature rose to 101.5, which is not good. Hoping it's okay. I'm a bit worried. Her pups were very active last night, though. Anyhow, please think good and healing thoughts for Blue. Hoping the rise in temp is just an anomaly and things are back to normal this afternoon.
