Happy Easter everyone, or Happy Sunday.

I am going to have a holiday without indulgence, except for indulging in family and fun. I have been doing well at work about dodge the constant barrage of food pusher, just to come home on the weekends tired and falling into chocolate and lots of it. then back to the grind on monday feeling a food hang over and regret.

what do you all do to relax after a week of staying strong with out eating bad choices?

Best, Gail

It sounds like there are no food pushers at home but are there other triggers?

For me, I am most vulnerable when I stay up too late especially when I am already sleep deprived.  At lot of this is related to too much coffee plus simply not going to bed!  Also, sometimes my worst eating is on my way to bed.  So, I try to work on the obvious:  less coffee, go to bed earlier, and don't allow the kitchen to be on the path to bedroom.  Sounds so simple but I struggle with it all the time!

Also, I am not sure where the chocolate is available (I know that treats are freely available practically anywhere) but if you aren't already, try to control the environment you live in.

Best wishes!

well just think of chocolate easter eggs as bunny turds!!!!   I know, easier said than done.  I will be at an event where the evil dessert queen will have some fabulous thing.  fortunately my sleeve will keep me under control.

last holiday at friends we had to graciously leave a little early and hubby puked by the side of the road. he ate a piece of chocolate cake.

Dr. Cirangle had some scientific explanation of why sugar makes you feel sick - something to do with stomach emptying faster and grehlin from intestines. He said he ate jelly beans and they made him sick.  I would not eat a jelly bean if you paid me.  always hated them.
