Good Morning Almost Spring Sleevers !

Now looks like a total miss for the snow !! I'll adjust quickly !  Have an appointment to have Sadie groomed (nail clip &grind too).

133's today. I was totally back on plan yesterday, with minimal cravings as I detoxed  from my planned foray into higher carbs/sugar. Still holding on to the water, and know I'll have an active day.

I am having some intermittent clarity about my predisposition to impulsive eating and impulsive spending (damn Amazon "click" button). Will take those thoughts with me as I swim in a bit.

     Have a great day.

Happy Skinny Saturday!

Diane O. I'm feeling triggered as I am alone in my hotel room.  The skinny struggle continues but it is so worth it!  I also can feel a transfer to shopping.  Of course I rationalize that I need these things (clothes that fit, etc), but the fact is that I am not the same tight-wad I used to be.  As always, thanks for sharing your thinking.

Steps 18,707 yesterday.  Today, the conference runs from now until 6-7ish so will be lucky to get even 5000 steps in.   I did swim yesterday and upper arms have a delightful soreness to them that I haven't felt for a long time.

Enjoy the day!  Shel

Hello Supah Sistahs and Badass Bro!  Yup Shel I stole your word.

After a slightly shaky day yesterday, I'm still at 114 this morning. The family stress really revved up my food thoughts and I was fighting temptation the entire day. Allowed myself one planned treat and white knuckled through the rest of the time.

Watched 600 lb life last night and it proved to be good therapy for keeping me out of the fridge. Oh boy. One patient was a 26 year old who had been in bed for years. At one point during the filming he managed to get himself up to 1014 pounds. The surgeon thought he might be the heaviest person in the world. So incredibly sad, and I wish him well.

Anyway, it's onward and upward today. At work for a short shift. Still hoping to take my first ride of the season on Violet tomorrow!

Diane O - great job with the detox!  We know how this works, don't we!!

122.6 today. Two shows done, two to go. I made the boys waffles for brunch today (they slept in) and decided to have 1/2 of one too. It was good but not the most delicious thing ever. I'll go protein forward the rest of the day. I'm not concerned about the calories or carbs too much - still below my lower red line. Have not been getting my exercise on due to life's busyness, but will resume back to normal next week.

Like Diane and Shel, I am finding my spending increasing. I of course need clothes that fit and we have a new season upon us, but I can see where a transfer addiction would be easy to come by. We are discussing having a "uniform" of sorts for work (probably a fleece jacket with our hospital's logo and black looser fitting yoga pants). That would help. Right now we wear business/business casual attire when we work outpatient and scrubs and lab coat when we work inpatient.

Dreaming of warmer weather and hiking and camping outside!

Paula

I'm reflecting on your assessment of how good (or not) the waffle was. I find there are very few foods that are as tasty as I 'remember'. For me,I think it was the feeding frenzy that was 'enjoyable' and less about the actual taste.

Isn't that funny - how we remember them tasting so much better! There are still few items that "do it" for me but homemade waffles won't be one of them.
