Hi Svelte Circle;

128.5 today. Feels good to be down a bit. Washed my hair last night and probably washed out a half pound of gunk.

Carbon I hope you get better. No fun to have a cold. I'm getting ready for a trip in two days and always fear getting a cold right before or during a trip.

Last night I made some pan grilled pork slices with apples.  tastes great.

Big kiln opens today.  Always fun to see what comes out.

Yep puppies due around March 23. Mama Gala getting quite puffed up. Dad Chip is clueless.

Keep the skinny going.    diane s

Fingers crossed this works:

Full story:

I enjoyed my planned off plan day. I truly needed the break from tracking and measuring and thinking about macros. Other than a morning protein shake, I didn't eat until close to 2:00 pm yesterday. Made a lovely VSG appropriate omelet then went off with a friend to get some dog food shopping done in SF.

Our adventures took us to the SF Raw food coop (for dogs) because my friend is an avid raw feeder (I am not). They also sell high quality organic people food so I bought some ground venison and some ground wild boar (seriously, it's feral boar!). They also had some artisan organic chocolates. I had to try a Mexican cayenne laced truffle and a truffle made with coconut butter and Himalayan pink salt. Both FANTASTIC. They also had some Venezuelan 85% cacao dark chocolate. That was okay, but not fantastic.

Ate some real food around 6:00 pm. I had a street taco - no tortilla and sampled all the other food - nachos, quesadilla, papusa.

Then got a bug in my bonnet about taking care of my steel cut oat craving. Made a batch in my IP using an easy recipe using apple, and cinnamon. If you want the recipe go here:

I left out the sugar.

So our evening meal was oatmeal with blueberries and fresh raspberries, chopped pecans and a dollop of homemade greek yogurt. HEAVEN.

Today I am focused and tracking, but still feeling a bit liberal in my eating. It is National Pi Day (You know, Pi 3.14... in math.). Oddly, Pi day is not sponosored by some mathematical group, but rather the American Pie Council. Hmmmm..... Anyway, my first thought upon being reminded it was Pi Day, was to have some apple walnut upside down Pie and the ButtercuP tonight. (The capital P stands for Pie! That's The ButtercuP's slogan! LOL) The fat boy is always ready! Lord....

Feeling happy and positive and ready for my week challenge. I have challenged myself to keeping carbs at 30 or below for 4 days. I've never challenged myself to going quite so low, so I'm looking forward to this little challenge. I can do anything for 4 days, right? Also, please note - I never start a dietary change on a Monday. Monday is an old tape day. Dietary changes can happen at anytime. I know, odd, but it works and keeps me out of the "diet mentality".

Merry Monday, Skinnies!

We had two in the Teacher's Lounge, but one of the4th grade teachers must have had a freaking pie for every two kids. There had to be a dozen pies on her back table at lunch! Happy, active, and fast metabolisms for the kiddos, though!
