122.4 today. Busy day cleaning yesterday, no formal exercise. Doesn't look like I put much of a dent in the cleaning though, so I think I will continue on today. Church today too. We have a group going on a missions trip to Haiti (nobody in my family though) and today we will be dropping off a bunch of supplies for them to take with them! Thank goodness for Costco - we bought bulk canned chicken, diapers, formula, disinfectant wipes and then cakes mixes and frosting from Target.

I did have 1 GS cookie on Friday, surprised that I was okay with just the one. I have been snacking a little more in general though - normal WLS friendly snacks, but snacks all the same.

Happy Sunday - a new week to protect our Skinny!

Happy Sunday!

Paula, I so understand the house not reflecting the hard work put into it!

122.6 today.  Had an unusual day yesterday in the sense that I wanted carby snacks AND I actually ate carby snacks.  This was not an intentional splurge and was unmeasured although eventually I made an attempt to log it for posterity.  Out of habit, I felt guilt and self loathing. Then, I tried some new thinking of "it is just food," it is not bad, nothing terrible is going to happen because of this.

And, nothing terrible happened.  I don't feel like crap about myself today.  I agreed to get on the scale and face whatever it would bring.   Yay, new thinking!

I tried to identify what was driving the cravings: lack of sleep, trying to get the house super clean for visitors, a general lack of time considering all that I want to get done.

I have been feeling triggered and there are some fit-my-macros foods around that I think I will tuck out of sight for a while.  They don't fit my macros if I overdo.  I might need to remind the family to keep their snacks in the cabinet.  I hate having to admit my vulnerability, but, it makes a big difference to me.

I am getting ready to head to San Deigo on Wed night for a conference.  Going to CA was always something I never felt skinny enough for.   Now, I just think about the warmth, sun, and (of course) keeping my loose skin cloaked.  I am grateful that I don't have to worry about conference room seating and meeting new people.  I have been thinking about food, but only in a general planning sort of way....not the old stress knowing that I wanted desperately to be "good" but knew that the more likely outcome was going totally off the rails.

Most of my paragraphs start with "I" today.  Thanks for being out there and providing a new inner narrative for this phase.  Even tho I wrote about me, me me, it started with you, you, you.

Protect the skinny!

Nothing terrible happened - the best learning of all!  So you had an off day. That is all.

One of the best things I have learned this past year is that food is neither good nor bad. Food is food and nothing more. It is we who have been taught that food is good or bad. So glad you are learning to get past that thinking we have cursed ourselves with for so many years. It is freeing! Good job!

Thanks, Kairk.  Of course I picked the whole "food isn't bad" directly from you.

Also, I want to say tha****ching your physical fitness improve and improve and improve makes me understand that if I want anything similar then I have to do my homework!  I am glad you post that info.  It makes me go practice something every time.

I can get into that negative self talk when I don't make the best choices. I had to remind myself even today that I am actually BELOW my lower red line, below goal. I'm good. It is okay to keep a close eye on things but I shouldn't stress a less than stellar day especially when I am in a good place weight wise. I think we all need to be kinder to ourselves!

"Yes, a home with pets is impossible to keep clean !" - try 3 teenage boys. I'll take the two dog's messes any day over what my boys produce! Lol!

Good morning friends. I'm still at 114 because I haven't corrected my lack of fluids. Hoping to do better today. I felt a little out of control with food late afternoon.  Took a few swipes at what was in the fridge and cupboard, with no hunger in play at all. Fortunately I was just able to observe without judgement and it passed quickly. I've moved on after noticing it.

DH has been slowly fixing my beloved motorcycle since last fall's spill and I'm happy to say Violet is looking as pretty as she always has!  Will be riding again soon!  Lots of people rode all winter here due to our unusually mild weather. My thumb and fingers are still sore from that spill, as is my shoulder from last week's slip and fall, so hopefully riding goes smoothly. I had the thumb and fingers checked again about a month ago to ensure no fractures so I know it's a bad sprain that's taking unusually long to heal.

Might make a Costco trip today - I've been out of Miralax for the best part of a week so things aren't working as well as they should. Also looking forward to making more yogurt!!
