Morning everyone.

again not a great calorie day.  Was totally unprepared for a gathering, usually bring my own food as carbs abound at this particular venue.

But walked and walked.

Don't forget to put your clocks ahead this evening!!!     Except for those of us who live in Saskatchewan as they ignore the whole thing.  Smart.

Are there any American States that don't agree with daylight savings?

Happy Saturday!!!

Happy Saturday, my partners in skinny!

I am trying, unsuccessfully, to get a move on my day.  There is much I want to do but I am lounging in my jammies instead.

I think Arizona doesn't participate in DST.  I grew up in Iowa and I remember there was a midwest state, or maybe even just part of a state, that didn't participate (Indiana? Illinios? Ohio?  Pretty sure it started with a vowel) but don't know if that is still true.

Anyway, we all hate losing an hour of sleep in this house.  I know, I know, you adjust in just a few days.  I don't want to adjust.

122.5 today.    I enjoyed my personal trainer workout this week.  I am excited to get in shape for our June Alaska trip.  I'm not sure what I think is going to happen in Alaska that requires peak physical fitness (run from a moose?) but find it a good motivator anyway.

Yoga later, haven't decided on which class.

Have a terrific day, everyone!

Good morning! I'm up to 114 after salty pizza. It was yummy.  Need to get fluids in today.

I'm at work for a short shift, no idea what I'll do after that. The weather remains warmish, will soon be able to fully break out the spring wardrobe. Relented a little and pulled out my Paige polka dot jeans for work - got a little crazy and added my Pink Sparkle shoes. I figure I'm old enough to not have to apologize for such things.

Have a great Saturday!

121.2. We had Thai last night - so yummy. Have 2 meals leftover, so triple yum! Went to the funeral this morning - very nice service. Feel so bad for those left behind. I can't imagine losing my Mom at age 11. My 13 year old took it hard, I think he was imagining what if it would have been his Mom and it all honesty it could have easily been his Mom 8 1/2 years ago. I am blessed to still be here and days like today make it very evident!

Gonna clean today. I guess I'm in a bit of a Spring cleaning mood, so am going to go with it!

Ack! I loathe, detest, and despise this horrible spring ahead day! Blech! I will be happy in a few days, but I wish we would just leave it alone. There is no real reason for it. Me, I'd keep it DST forever - all year round. Yes, it would suck being dark early in the morning when getting up, but hey, it's dark when I get up anyway. Now that we are back to DST, it's going to be dark when I get up on Monday. It's been nice that it's been just past sunrise and getting light when the alarm goes off....

Arizona and Hawaii do not observe DST. Also, there are several tribes in the northwest corner of AZ that do observe DST on their tribal lands. So, during DST when driving east to west in northern AZ you literally change time zones 5 times!

195.1 - still dancing!

Fantastic workout yesterday. Trainer kicked my AZZ! I didn't even have it in me to do cardio afterwards. Kept me just this side of miserable, which you all know I love. So I got a new exercise that again showed me how far I've come. Pushups over stacked steps. Hands are on either side of two stacked steps (think step aerobics steps), drop down in a plank so chest touches steps, then push up with enough propulsion to be able to jump the hands onto the top of the steps and push up. Then jump off the step and repeat for a total of 15 reps. DAMN I COULD DO THEM!

I went to bed last night so grateful for all I have. My health is great, I am fit, upright, and mobile, I have a secure job, I have a supportive partner and a few close friends and wonderful family. I have been given the gift of perseverance which has allowed me to tackle and continue to work with my regain issues. I'm finding the more I practice focusing on the positive things in my life, the less likely I am to brood on what I call the shortcomings of life.

True Confessions: I'm having some difficulties with late afternoon and after dinner "hunger". It's not really hunger, but head hunger, appetite, grazing behavior, etc... you know, mindful, yet mindless eating - meaning I know what I'm doing and while I'm doing it I am thinking that maybe I shouldn't be doing it. Make sense? Yesterday was a 1400 calorie day (which is over my goal by about 250 calories). So, not really an over the top day. It's really the behavior that I want to get a check on. I have some low cal alternatives on hand (SF popsicles, MealEnders), but am not taking advantage of them. Today's eating focus will be on afternoon - evening eating behavior.

It's 10:20 am and I'm still wandering around in my flannels and a sweatshirt and bed head!  AWESOME! People do this every week? How luxurious! I'm going to enjoy just letting the day happen!

Hello Skinny Daylight Lovers-

132's today. I had a 10 AM appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. I used to be "stranded" because it was too far me to walk to a nearby shopping center. Today, it is such a minor jaunt, I shake my head on amazement at how far I've come ! Found some bathing suits and spring clothes for Santa Monica in May. Got a call from the shop that I needed a tire patched and brake fluids tended, so it ended up being almost two hours, and I still had to grocery shop !

Had a great day yesterday !!! There's a lot about being a principal  I miss ... and some things, not so much !!

Can't wait to see how we all feel tomorrow, recovering from our lost hour !!?
