161.4 today.  Are you serious?  I am sure my very sore muscles are holding on to water.

I wayyy overdid it on Saturday.  Sad thing is, any exercise beyond walking a couple miles is overdoing it for me.  I tried hard to modify bodypump class knowing I'd be sore.  And yet it's still hard to sit on the toilet.  Poor legs.

I also have noticed that when I do more formal workouts, I want to eat more.  Anyone else this way?  I have some friends who say it makes them want to eat less because they know the work it took to work those calories off.  But I usually feel ravenous after working out.  I definitely don't see the point if I end up adding calories!

It's a perfect storm of a bad eating day here.  I'm so sore I feel sick.  And I'm tired and hungry.  I think I'm all tapped out on calories today.  I did well for lunch and breakfast, but then 2:30 hit and I wanted carbs...bad.  I know this is the reason you all say to stay away from them altogether!  So I went to the grocery nearby my office and got cookies and put in the kitchen.  I ate TWO frosted cookies!  Doh.  And I was still hungry (of course).  I know I'm sunk on calories, but I followed that up with a few bites of the pot roast that's for lunches the rest of the week.  I figured better to have a few protein calories than another cookie when I didn't need the two in the first place.  Now I do feel pretty full and maybe I can make it on a light dinner.  Trying to ward off those feelings of "give up now, Bonnie.  You can always start again tomorrow.  But before you do, pick up Chinese food."  I don't think "normal" people think that way.  But my impulse is that whenever I eat less than ideal foods to throw in the towel and really make it count.  I will say in this one aspect, being at maintenance at least makes that argument a little less strong.  I don't HAVE to lose weight now, I would just like to maintain.  There's not as much of a sense of urgency because I kinda already am here.  I just need not to screw it up.  So I'm pulling myself up by my boot straps and saying it is what it is, keep making better choices.

PS I am now seriously regretting my sugar cookie incident.  Who says VSG'ers don't get dumping syndrome.  Must remember sugar doesn't feel good after it passes my lips.

"...But before you do, pick up Chinese food."

LOL, been there, done that!

Good luck with the rest of the evening!

As counter intuitive as it seems, if you do another bodypump class and get those muscles moving again, the faster you will heal up. Trust me on this one.

totally get the Perfect Eating Storm day! Been there, done that God only knows how many times! Sounds like you handled it pretty well.

Sounds like you've decided, too, that you are happy where you are! Congratulations! That's a wonderful place to be!

Diane Ocean - good planning - now just to execute that plan tomorrow. Do be kind to yourself and feed those feelings in some constructive manner!

Linda - I want to see a pic of that bright dress and get another look at that coveted dressing room and closet of yours!

Lorna - will miss you. You can always lurk!

Devon - yay on another mini goal. Onward and downward! Sad news about your student.

Diane S. - we are having nice weather here today too (high 50's low 60's) People are in shorts and t-shirts and coming out of the wood work! Spring Fever for sure!

Scale was 121.6 this morning. I was able to do 45 minutes on the treadmill at lunch, so that was good.
