Monday March 8 I think

I understand what you mean.  I too sometimes feel like the more I try to "diet", the more I think about food, and want to eat more, and do eventually eat more, but I am miserable the whole time.  Do whatever you need to do for your own success.

195.4

YAY! Mini goal accomplished. Now, to keep this weight steady and move onward down to the 190s. Feeling proud of the fact that I let my weight "happen" rather than getting my shorts in a knot and trying to tweak my eating. I kept the food tight over the weekend, but not militant (made room for a little chocolate!) and chose to exercise both Saturday and Sunday. As Linda predicted the scale reflected my choices.

Sorry about the flu. We seem to be done with it here, though I do have a kiddo out with pneumonia. He's been out for quite a number of days, so I'm getting concerned. Found out on Friday that a student from last year will be out the rest of the year. He has had bowel/intestinal issues since 2nd grade and they now suspect cancer. Poor guy is going to have to have intestines and colon removed and resected. Not what any 9 year old should have to deal with. Makes me sad.

Been doing a bit of thinking about calories and what it may take to get to my "

I'm really sorry to hear about your student!  They're like our own, aren't they!

Devon,

That is so sad. Poor litte guy. It is alway so hard when children are suffering.

Dr Ponce de Leon Mexico     VSG 4 Jun 12. I lost 57 lbs on my own before having a VSG. This is by far the best thing I have ever done for myself.

Excited about your mini-goal!  So sad about that poor little guy.  Heartbreaking!

I know what you mean about OH... it was just me rambling about calorie levels as I get lower in weight and closer to my final goal. I'll figure it out. My approach is so very different this time around. It's far more about my "whole self" getting to goal, not just my weight. Does that make sense?

Hi Knights of the Skinny Round Table!

What a difference the sun makes. Yesterday it poured rain while I sat in the art gallery but we did get some sales. Amazing. I think here in north coastal California we are supposed to get rain all week but the clouds didn't get the memo because its sunny now.

Carbon, so sorry you are ailing. I hope you can take all the time you need to recover and don't have to rush off to other things.

Those of you faced with the loaded tables at work, I feel your pain. Kairk is right to look it all over, have a plan, and make some reasonable selections.

129.5 today.  Shrimp asparagus stir fry was great last night. More asparagus tonight. Love it when it becomes available.

Lorna we will miss you but understand. Do whatever works for you.

So I belong to two cooperative art galleries that I am always blathering about here. One has had a run of bad luck among members - on guy's wife died suddenly of an aneurism, one has to quit to care for elderly parents, one just got diagnosed with cancer and two more have to leave for other personal reasons.  We all try to rally and help each other but its getting to be   a pretty heavy lift with all the days to cover.  Fortunately we will have two new members in soon.  Its always something.

take care my skinnies.   diane s.
