Good morning!

Scale was holding steady this morning.  Food yesterday was overall good.  I did indulge in a few fries at Elevation Burger, but carbs were extremely low otherwise - got my burger in a lettuce wrap.

Shel, good for you on your plan to get plastics!  Your trip to Alaska sounds like a blast!

Paula - ditto on your trip to Hawaii!

Busy day and evening planned today.  Lots to do at work; my youngest starts her 2 month practice for recital of her dance camp routine from last summer, so have to scoot out of work a little early to get her there for 5 and pick her up at 5:45; and, they are recognizing the parents of seniors at the high school athletics recognition night at 6.  Definitely getting dinner at the Oakland House after.  Luckily, they have great salads and other things I can eat.

Have a great Thusday - one more day to the weekend!

Hugs, Mary

Carbon, you ARE amazing!  Both in the number of steps and your casualness about it!

123.4 today (a poker straight! Do I get a treat for that???)   That's with my arm wrap.

There have been a couple of topics on the boards recently that have been pinging in my head.  Kairk, I particularly enjoy it when you do a little off road eating: sometimes planned, sometimes not, sometimes with more enjoyment than others.  It shows that all of this still works in the over-arching plan even if the plan for the day takes a wince inducing hit.   Thanks for that!  As Linda commented to Diane O, these excursions show our humanness.  Humanness is a neutral term, without the baggage of "loss of control/willpower" that I typically think of.

Nighttime random bites have snuck back into my diet, I do try to account for them in MFP but doubt that I am super accurate.  These were absent during weight loss so I know they don't have to exist.  Mini goal:  if I can avoid these thru March 11th, I get to buy a travel outfit for my upcoming conference in San Diego.  (Travel outfit sounds so old fashioned as if I am going to be dressed like the ladies of Downton Abbey.)

Guard your skinny!  Shel

The random bites - these are the sorts of things we have to work out for ourselves in maintenance. For me, they're not appropriate if they're becoming a pattern (i.e. repeatedly going to my fridge or cub board) but sometimes I grant them as okay if I'm with someone socially and unexpected things are offered to me. As I've said in the past, the playground is bigger and more challenging (requires a higher skill level) in maintenance, but it still has a fence around it!

Yes, totally agree.  These are solitary kitchen drive-bys that give me no pleasure or satisfaction.

121.4. Not taking much stock in that number since I was clear liquids only yesterday and had a double colonoscopy prep. I read my instructions wrong and took 4 Dulcolax stool softeners instead of 4 laxatives before I started drinking the Miralax mix. Still not very cleaned out at 10:00 last night so I re-checked everything and found my error. Off to the pharmacy to buy the laxative and start over with another 64 oz. of Miralax mix. I was up until 4:30 am - not fun. Got a whopping 2 1/2 hours of sleep (we can be tired together Carbon!). Still not 100% cleaned out but it is as good as it is going to get at this point.

Fun day of having tubes and cameras looking at my insides from both ends today! Yippy! I told my hubby I want something good for dinner - don't know yet what that will be!

Not sleeping, banged up, pooped out (literally), but a theme of enjoying what we are now able to do with out bodies shines through !  Whether it is an astounding 18,000 steps, or "loving the exertion just this side of miserable", or joyfully dancing routines by the end of the session we learned them, or feeling the synergy through yoga.... we are out there DOING and MOVING.... celebrating that we can !!!

134's today.  I am working for a solid 8,000 steps today !!  Thrilled about forecast for 60's and 70's un upstate NY next week.  Thinking about throwing caution to the wind and having topsoil delivered for an early start on landscaping.

Enjoy moving today !!!
