Maybe go for 10 hours?  Yes, from what I have read, longer fermenting is the key.  This weekend's batch was particularly fabulous for me, too.  I drained for longer (just busy, not really going for long drain) and love how thick it is.

Morning fellow skinny kids! I'm back down to 112 today, which is what I weighed prior to my trip. I'm beginning to think my body gave me a pass on my vacation behaviour and while I'm grateful for it, I'm not silly enough to think it will do that all the time.

My poor husband is in agony today with a mysterious foot ailment. He had his other foot surgically reconstructed some years ago and is seeing a specialist on March 9th to see if the same or a similar problem has manifested in this foot, but on top of that, his toes are inflamed in what looks like gout but he is not testing positive for it. I'm encouraging him to see a dr today, but we will see if he follows through. I really feel for him.

Shel thanks for Pet Palooza - I'm really enjoying the pics and the stories. I want to encourage the rest of you to get pics and stories up with Shel's help!

Hi Skinnies

129.5 today even with heavy ski socks. No I have not been skiing in years (quit cuz I got too fat) but love the socks. Its a little cool here (well it always is) but at least not raining.

Love the pet pix.  Shel can I send you some and you post them or someone  explain it to me?  I know i have done it before but forgot how. Our dogs will get walks today. The old girl can only go about 5 blocks but loves it still. Dog Chip could pull a sled across the Yukon so hubby takes him about a mile and a half. They are quite the picture. Hubby always wears a hat since he is quite bald and he carries a fancy walking stick which is mainly for protection against loose dogs in the neighborhood. I got him the stick for his birthday because he used to go walking with a broom handle and looked like a dolt. Up here in the redwoods there is no shortage of nice carved wood things. Also really bad chain saw art.

There was a recipe posted on the main vsg for chicken enchiladas without tortillas. I made it last night and it was pretty good. There is more of it for tonight. I do crave mexican food from time to time and it lends itself to adjustments for weight control purposes. Unlike pizza which I also crave. Hard to get  a good low carb pizza except just to eat a tiny slice.

Have  a great day all.  diane
