Pet Palooza!
Good morning, all!
Meet my other circle of friends! Please add yours as time permits!
Tink, 7 year old toy fox terrier, 4.5 lbs, a true pocket dog. She is part jester (think circus dog) and part cuddle bug. She's sexy and she knows it.
Next up is Buster (he busts stuff) who is about 5 years old. His mom was a full sized weiner dog and chihuahua and dad had a lot of poodle in him. He is my side kick, always present. He was a handful growing up: chewed thru walls, literally destroyed the case work of the staircase so the WHOLE THING had to be replaced (my husband is good at woodworking.) But, has matured into a lovely dog. I love him for his heart, sense of humor, flying nun ears, and feet that are always in 5th position.
See that cabinet behind the sofa? One day I came home and he had his back feet on the top of the sofa and the front feet on the cabinet.....he looked like a slinky dog in a way that only weiner dogs can. He just looked at me with his usual HI MOM!
Last but not least, is Skipper, who is a who-knows-how-old African Grey. We have had her for over 25 years. African Greys are among the best talkers out there. This one likes my voice the best and can I can be sure that my favorite phrases will be repeated in her own special way. I love watching the interaction between her and the dogs --- there is definitely a relationship there.

Shel what a wonderful pet family you have! We've had many pets over the years and it's hard to imagine having one for 25+ years! I understand birds like your can live to more than 50, which is pretty astounding. We went more than 5 years with no pets because we found the losses so difficult. But we finally got over it and this is our current fur babe:
Almost four years ago, we added this handsome fellow to our home. Bailee was 10 years old and had lived happily in a lifelong home when his family had to give him up. The transition was quite traumatic for him, but we've done everything possible to ease the loss of his former loved ones. Bailee is thriving now.
He has a very large frame but is also overweight at 20 pounds. Even the vets have given up trying to reduce him because he only eats calorie reduced food and refuses treats or table food of any kind. A true creature of habit, he eats the same amount no matter how much you put in the dish. You could set your clock by Bailee. Anything different and you would get tired of hearing about it!!Bailee is very affectionate (licks and cuddles you) talkative and social. Loves entertaining visitors, especially men - we says he's a guys' guy - and no matter how long between visits, he will remember you and treat you royally upon your return.
Forgive me for the excessive number of pics - it was hard to choose!

I'll play! We had a black lab mix for 14 years but she passed about 4 years ago. We now have two Yorkie Poos, sisters that are one litter apart (only about 6 months difference in age - bred mamma way too fast).
The black one is Emma. She is more my dog. She is an excited piddler - have to ignore her when I first get home or she will pee all over the floor. She loves licking me and attacks me whenever I walk into a room - like she hasn't seen me for day. We have a game we play every morning - she sits on the stairs and sticks her head out between the spindles of the staircase. I start as high as I will reach and she gives me kisses all the way down the stairs.
The white one is Bella. She loves my husband the most. She is our guard dog. She sits atop a chair in the family room and barks at any moving thing she sees through our Bay window.
Both are cuddlers and love to sit on our laps if we are watching tv. They both sleep with us as well. Love them like crazy and they don't give us lip like the teenagers do! The pics are from Christmas - they are enjoying their new bones!
