I hope so, too!

I have to say, I like to take the wondering out of it. With larger dogs they often don't show for until only 2 weeks before delivery, sometimes only a week. This way I know what's going on and when to change her food to higher protein and fat (Hmmmm, sort of VSG appropriate, now that I'm thinking about it! LOL).

Please, please promise to post pictures of those beautiful puppies when they are born.  They will be so cute, and the puppy breath will be so awesome.

Hi Skinny peeps

Well Lorna this is the place to rant if you need to. Go for it. Things will turn around for you.

Funny how we live under the tyranny of the scale. Used to be the tyranny of food that controlled us.  Guess I'll take the scale but we all have to remember that it is a tool to serve us, not to rule us.  I do weigh every day because if I stopped I probably would go off the rails, but everybody is different.

Paula  I'm glad your son is doing better.  Weight control, family problems, joys and amusements, all part of the journey of life that is our privilege to experience. Every breath we take is like a calorie free bit of chocolate.  How profound is that?  Need more coffee. 129.5 today.

Speaking of journeys, its raining and I have to go feed the friend's cats on the steep muddy road in the woods. should be interesting. diane s

Thanks everyone for all your comments and help. I think my problem is that I've never weighed like this. For me it was more about tracking food and exercise and the scale was only monthly, so I'm not used to the fluctuations and I need to wrap my head around it. I have always well the last six years exercised like this. However last summer I was injured and had to stop totally for several months. Hence food and lack of movement put on a few pounds. Since December I've been getting back up to speed with workouts. I know my clothes are fitting back to normal again. :-). I will commit to one more week of weighing every day, because that is all I can deal with right now. Minus one day out of the week. It is my mental break from what feels obsessive to me.  Again thank you all for your support. Hugs Lorna

152.1 today, exactly the same as yesterday.  It's so good to have such a low weight two days in a row, because now I know the 152.1 isn't a fluke, but a real weight that I can work with.

I've decided that my goal is going to be 135 instead of 145 so I can have some room for bounce back in a couple of years.  When the scale didn't go down for almost a month I was almost ready to say screw it, and raise my goal to 150.  Now that it's moving again I'll keep losing to make me happier in the end.

I'm going to Georgia tomorrow to help take care of my grandkids for a couple of weeks, and have to keep my eye on the prize.  I go to my surgeon 2 days after I get back, and want to be under 150, to show him I can get under his goal for me.  Having a 5 year old and 11 month old with me may be challenging as far as food goes, but I have to stand strong and not eat the wrong things.  I hope to be really active with them, so that should help a lot.  They live near Stone Mountain, and 10 years ago when I tried to climb to the top, I failed miserably.  Now, I want to prove to myself that I can do it.  I'll be yelling from the mountaintop when I make it!
