2lbs down, low carb has been going a bit better than I expected.
I really forgot how filling dense protein is when you follow the drinking rules. Lots of protein and fat has kept me from being hungry. Sugar cravings are still a bit rough, sugar alchohols and coke zero has made it bearable. Will be watching the scale to see if they keep me out of ketosis, but they didnt seem to have an impact pre VSG. Net carbs (for whatever they are worth) have been less than 20.
Hoping that a few weeks in ketosis peels off most of the weight and then I can wean off the sugar free stuff and higher fats to just mostly meats and greens with some a little fruit added back in. Now if only I could find my outdated urine dip sticks to check for ketones...

Paula, mention the procrastination and your son's distractions to the psychiatrist, because there may be an attention deficit disorder involved, which can be treated.
