Yes, Happy Sunday!
Lorna, that's a lot of bikers! Motorcycles?????
125.6 today (with arm wrap)
Yesterday was fabulous, I felt better than I have for at least a week even with Michelin arm wrap on. Elevated mood was perhaps from sun breaks and my lucky jeans. But I suspect that the biggest contributor were my new thigh high compression stockings that were recommended by a vascular doctor. I felt like I was secretly rocking a naughty grandma outfit!
I took the day off formal exercise yesterday but did rearrange a large closet which was a lot of climbing around and lifting. I'll get at least some home yoga in today but I have a lot more home organization I want to complete as well.
Enjoy the day!
Shel

Yes Shel Motorcycle riders. I belong to a couple of groups. This one is a mixed one and my other group is a Women's only - no boys allowed riding group LOL! Breakfast good, I went to the gym first and ran 4K and had two sausages one piece of bacon and a bit of ham. So stayed with protein. A bit on the fatty side but oh well! I stayed away from toast pancakes quiche and yorkshire puddings, syrup, jam, honey etc so I am really happy with my old self!
You are an inspiration Shel, I get over whelmed just thinking about cleaning out my house. We have been in it for 36 years and I have so many boxes in storage it is crazy. I did start just after Christmas and got several boxes out for donation but it only opened my eyes to how many more I have to go.
Good job even with your arm in a wrap - you are inspiring!

Good Morning on Monday Eve !
132.4 today. My goal for today is to get my focus back off the number on the scale and more about what my body can do with healthy eating, balanced macros and fulfilling activity. I have MFP set to 1250, and do have to commit to eating the meals/snacks I've logged, as part of identifying my appropriate maintenance level.
Swam this morning, and I'm substituting a 45 degree walk for the carpet steam cleaning. Our back yard is now muddy, and our lab finds all of it and hides it in her pads until she gets to the carpets. Steam cleaning them right now would be an exercise in futility.
Have a great day all !!!

Good morning! I've been reading through the past couple posts. Karen, you're getting some good suggestions! I have also been struggling with some re-gain, and it is very frustrating. For me, the main thing is to keep at it, as giving in is not an option.
Carbon, I too have had more cramping since WLS, primarily in my ankles. I used to get them in my calves, especially when I was growing up. The ankle are a new thing. Hope they pass soon!
Shel, glad your lymphedema is improving!
Had a minor victory this morning. I ate breakfast, which was leftover from yesterday's breakfast. I wanted more when I was done, and was about to go get something, when I realized I really wasn't physically hungry and was able to say that I'd had enough and move on. Need to really key into my sleeve's signals more and be mindful.
Today is a day to pick up the house and do some cooking for the week. Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays around here are very busy due to all three of us females having various dance classes. I don't get home from wor****il 5:30ish, so it's helpful to have stuff already prepared for dinner. Less of a chance of saying let's just get takeout.
Have a great Sunday! Hugs, Mary
Hi all
129 which seems to be the new normal. wi**** was 125 but glad its not the old 247.
Got the raku firing done yesterday and its a good thing because its back to rain today. Now I have to scrub all the little figures as they are sooty after firing.
Shel my sympathies for having to wear all the compression items. Must be uncomfortable and hope its helping you.
Went to costco and got some gummy vitamins for a change. just tired of swallowing so many horse pills since i take a lot of calcium. The dummies taste good. but not so good that i would sit and eat them while watching a movie.
So much stuff to pick up around the house and laundry to fold and such. Not exactly aerobic activity but necessary. Got our down comforter cleaned and its nice to have it back as we were using an assortment of crummy old blankets. Our bed was sort of like a hamster nest.
Last night when getting ready for bed my fitbit showed 4968. I wanted to go over 5000 so i clipped it to my nightgown while doing various things about the house.
Well I should go get busy .... or get another cup of coffee and sit here and play on the computer. hmmmm

Hi all!
199.1 today. Up .3. I'm guessing because my water intake sucked eggs yesterday I am retaining a tad. Such a weird food day, too. I ate only a protein shake and one hard boiled egg all day until 6:30. I was busy, busy, busy and rather than eat crap on the go I chose to wait. I wasn't really hungry anyway. I ate a little at 6:30 then we went to dinner about 8:15. Had a very nice little salad (ate about 1/3 and gave the rest to my bestie) and three jumbo prawns wrapped in pancetta. The three of us shared a dessert of chocolate ganache - 4 spoonfuls - and damn, it was utterly sinful. I debated, and I'm quite glad I did! LOL. Had my regular yogurt around 11:00. So, really not much food at all, but with so little water (only 40 oz yesterday) it's no wonder I'm up a tad.
I used my Instant Pot last night to make my first batch of yogurt. I'm pleased by how well it turned out. I took Shel's suggestion and set the IP for 9 hours. I used a cup of Fage as my starter and a gallon of NF milk. I'll be damned if this yogurt isn't the smoothest tasting yogurt I've ever had! So, for $4.00 I'm getting a great yogurt that is smooth, creamy, with just the right amount of tang instead of the store bought Fage that I have been paying between $13.00 and $15.00 for. Can't really go wrong with that, now can I? I drained the first batch for 3.5 hours. I'm draining the second batch for 6 hours to see if it makes a huge difference.
Saw a recent VSG post op client this morning. It was a lot of fun to reminisce about being so early out. She's doing very well, but we had a good heart to heart about wanting to eat things as opposed to needing to eat them. She wants desperately to be eating fruits and well cooked veggies already at 3 weeks out. We also talked about how to weigh different foods, how to monitor intake, etc... Such a great reminder for myself, too.
It's a lovely day today. Will go on a nice bike ride, but first must eat something. I again have only had a protein shake and it's 2;30. Gotta get a grip on this no eating all day on the weekends. Not good, but not hungry either. Delicate balance of nurturing my body and listening to my hunger cues.
