still no sleep PLUS leg cramps which am walking off while chugging water.  Ouch and more ouch!!!

have been reading the plastic discussion after watching a BBC Scotland programme about face lifts.  Mind you that was primarily for vanity and why not!!!!  The patients were very pleased and looked marvellous.

all the best for you who are thinking about it.

again really feel for the layoffs.  My young neighbour has just got his notice.  He is looking for work and has a lead in the Yukon.  Two children.  Very rough.

calories 678 and Fitbit started behaving at 99834.

happy Sat everyone!!!!!

Good Morning Focused Skinny Savorers !

134 this AM after no Lasix yesterday. I was within my macros yesterday, but did build in two glasses of wine and a half a piece of cheesecake.  I am looking at 134-139 as my target range. I am not comfortable seeing 140 again, and 130 is the absolute lowest I want to go. When I consider the excess butt/thigh skin I carry... that has got to be a good 6-8 pounds.

Going to see The Revenant this afternoon. Off to swim now, and starting to make plans to visit my daughter in Pasadena in May.

Have a great day all !

124.4 today - a good spot to be. I finally did some exercise yesterday. A pretty easy walk (3.0 mph @ 5% grade) for 45 minutes on the treadmill. It ain't no Boot camp but it felt good to get moving again!

We ended up going to Perkins last night for dinner - 3 out of 4 of us ordered breakfast for dinner items. I have not gone out for "breakfast" in a long time! I had half an omelette and 1/2 of a melon fruit cup and two small bites of pancake and one of hashbrown (off my husband's plate). I still had one more side to order so I ordered a chocolate muffin "to go" which my husband will eat today along with the other 1/2 of my omelette. It was odd to think that at one point I could have eaten the whole omelette, 3 pancakes and hashbrowns and downed a few cups of coffee with creamer in one setting. I was stuffed with what I had last night!

Sorry for the lack of sleep and leg cramping! No fun at all! I hope your steps yesterday were just under 10,000 instead of just under 100,000. That would be a whole lot of walking!

LOL.. when we're out eating, I am also amazed at the quantities that people eat... then somberly remember packing it in like that is just what got me to 345.

I am still amazed sometimes.

I am especially amazed when I eat out.  I have a "never more than half ever" rule.  But normally I eat less than that when eating out.  And yet I see people polishing off their plates!  Crazy.  But this is also where I start to wonder "how come they can eat all that and yet weigh x, when I clearly eat less and I weigh y."

Happy weekend!

Carbon, sorry about sleep and cramps!!!!

Paula, did those few bites off your husband's plates satisfy your craving for traditional breakfast carbs?  We are eating breakfast out today as a family.  I can't remember the last time we did this.  Even on vacation, I would have coffee and some sort of VSG friendly food from a grocery store.  Anyway, I don't have a desire to splurge and will keep things simple and fit my macros but not so simple that there isn't a bit of anxiety about the unknown calorie load. Portion control will rule the day!  (I'm pumping myself up for success!)

126.6 today.  I am pleased with this, I feel that my lymphedema storm is over and now I just have to clean up after it. I am wearing a giant wrap on my right arm worthy of the Michelin man.  It doesn't come on and off so it is included in my weight but I don't know how much.  And, my weight is still down!  Also, the lymphedema physical therapist says it is ok to exercise, that it will actually provide pressure from the inside out which is helpful.  The wrap is hot and I don't know if I want to do a super active yoga class but did do gentle yoga last night which was fine.  The wrap on my hand also limits my grip in down dog, etc.

Thanks all for the PS discussion!!  I will moving forward with a procedure, probably Aug-Oct of this year.  My thoughts on it continue to evolve, helped by your insights.

Have a happy day!

Shel

I'm glad your lymphedema is getting under better control. I bet the fluid overload is in excess of 3 lbs.!

The few bites of pancake didn't really curb my cravings but it didn't make me want to eat nothing but carbs today either, so all is good!

Sorry to hear about your leg cramps!!

170.0 - Okay. So last year was tough. I was sick a lot, stressed out, worked a ton of hours, didn't work out that often and ate and drank whatever I wanted. So here I am today. 25 pounds up and mad as hell at myself. Today I have to get back to the basics so I can start to get this weight off. The first 2 days are the hardest for me. I need all of your support. Day 1 here I go.
