Plastic Surgery.
Ok I said I would share my plastics experience.
I had a full fluer de Lise or anchor cut tummy tuck, mons lift and a brachioplasty in December 2013.
I had both surgeries done the same time. Both went very well. I did however Bleed internally around my belly button and require a second surgery (rushed in to the hospital in the middle of the night). I was told it happened because they missed a blood capillary. Surgeon was totally on board with sharing the info. When you are as obese as I was I had lots of extra small capillaries in order to feed all the extra body mass. Hence why now I still have lots of extra flesh and skin on other body parts. A week after coming home from the second surgery my incision opened up at the upside down T. Ok a couple weeks of dressings three times a day. Well back into surgery for me. Closed it up and all went well from there on. I think it opened because the second surgery was done on the same incision line so was probably weak. I love love love my tummy tuck and have minimum scaring. Now the mons lift. - TMI maybe for some. Before the lift I would click when I walked and after I didn't any more for about a year. Now because the lift pulls you apart I always find my pants and underwear creeping up in there and it hurts and I now click again.
My arms look good and I had no complications and minimum scarring. I did get frozen shoulder in one arm from not using my arms for three weeks, talk about painful. The only thing is I built as much muscle in my arms as I possibly could presurgery, my thinking was if I didn't and then built more post surgery it would stretch my scars and make them look worse. The problem with that is if I don't constantly do weighs to retain that mass I have a slight bat wing on my right arm. My incisions on my arms seem to have a lot of never damage and feel quite painful at times. My scars are almost invisible
Would I do it again. In a heart beat except for maybe the mons. Now maybe if I got my legs done that might help the situation. My legs are very tiny on the very top and then all the flesh and skin hanging in my inner thigh that maybe pushing my pants up as I walk. I'm not sure.
When you have the surgery it is important to follow all the rules of compression garments and oils etc etc

As much as I would love to consider plastics, my problem area is my legs... also my lymphedema area. I simply can't risk increased vascular issues. I'll live with what I have.
