Happy Valentine's Day! (and it is Sunday)
While I was at a loss about Paula's comment today about Shel's big flush (unless it was related back to the post of the other day) it did remind me that I did! LOL! That may explain in part the movement on the scale today. Also, the continued focus, lack of hunger, must be playing a big role, too. Carbs were at 28 yesterday, protein at 94 (a tad low), calories just over 1000.
Scale #: 197.9
Can I freaking just dance around the house, or what? Down over 30 lbs with now fewer than 10 pounds to goal #1 and assessment time. Yup, my heart is light today.
As for hearts, I woke up to a beautiful new orchid sitting on a red quilted mat with the nicest card. He must have taken a lot of time finding the card because it speaks to the longevity of our relationship (27 years) and the little everyday things long time spouses know, tolerate, turn a blind eye to, and love about one another.
With such a great start to my day, I don't see how it can get much better, but I have a feeling it just might.
Some grooming on the docket, and will get my reward massage or pedicure later today.
Shel, great post about finding neutral. I understand. Once in bed I end the day with a silent thank you to God and the cosmos for the understanding I have gained this past year and for the compassion for myself and my food issues and for the strength to persevere through the work. I find this practice to be very centering.
Happy Sunday and Valentine's Day everyone.
Shel started today's post with BRB (that was it, nothing more). I found it funny and odd that she would come on just to post that she would be right back! I thought perhaps she needed to have another Big Flush before committing to the thread. It turned out that she just didn't want someone else to also start the thread while she was typing up her (as she says) long winded post. Of course when she did fini**** she edited her original and took off the BRB so of course you all thought I was the odd one! That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
Sounds like you have a winner for a husband Devon! 27 years is quite the accomplishment! Congrats! Congrats also for remaining in onederland. You are going awesome and well on your way to that first goal!
You and your husband are much more romantic that we are. We did get each other a card, but that was it. I guess after 41 Valentine's days, we aren't as much fun as we used to be. Next year I need to try harder. Thanks for the reminder.
Congrats on your great loss this week. My next goal is to hit 150, but I haven't weighed in this weekend, because I ate two cookies yesterday, and they will not help me get to any of my goals.
5' 5" tall. VSG on August 4, 2015/ Starting weight 239.9/ Surgery weight 210.9/ Current weight 137.4/ Goal weight 140/ No longer overweight, now a NORMAL weight. Now that I'm at goal, it's time to move on to maintenance!!!!!!!!
Hi all, stepped on the scale today and up came the dreaded 130. I felt like the people on the biggest loser that didn't lose enough. This in spite of walk and reasonable eating. Oh well, today is another day.
And its Valentines Day. You are all my valentines. Keeping it sane and real. My hubby is not much for celebrations but he is sweet and dear every day of our lives. I have a lot to be grateful for. Kirk's idea of ending the day with good thoughts and prayer is a great one. Gonna do it.
I need to go to Petco and get a stroller for our old dog. She is coming up on 15 and can only do about a 6 block walk. But she loves to go so maybe I will try this. The younger dog could probably do a marathon.
All this talk of steak sounds good. Maybe that will be our dinner.
Take care and stay well and thin all. diane s
