Hello All !

Just a quick check in !!  I am so proud of how our teachers kept it together and totally about kids this week, as they struggled to deal with the murder of a dear colleague and youngest son, at the hands of her husband. There has been an outpouring of food, in addition to 100th day of school celebrations and Valentine's Day.  I made it through W & Th because there was no room for food in my head.  Today, I'm  drawn to the remembered comfort of food to numb and escape. I want to graze or put together handfuls and find a quiet place to stuff myself and what I'm feeling. The thing that is saving me is a deal I made with myself.  If there is something I want/need badly enough to make a plate and eat mindfully in front of others, so be it.  I will not eat in isolation or eat to stuff feelings. Not an option.  That took care of that !!!  Just had to post my plan to make it official.

Thinking of you all helped !  My love and positive thoughts to all of you.

What a good plan. Try to find a non-food way to be kind to yourself (massage maybe?) Wish I could take away the pain you are feeling right now!

I admire your strength and courage! Be gentle with yourself and allow yourself to feel. It feels so much better to feel than to stuff. As we teach the kids in Soul Shoppe, "we've got your back". Hugs!

Hi all

So they say physicists have discovered the "waves" of gravity causing curves in the fabric of the universe. I don't get this concept but it made me wonder if all the thousands of pounds lost by people on this forum have an impact on our planet. Probably not because likely someone else is gaining them.

Diane O I am so sorry for what you and your group has experienced. Good to at least understand not to bury feelings in food. We can all learn from this as we all have or will have rough spots in our lives.

Kairk good for you for reaching wonderland.  Keep at it. Weird about loose foot skin. I used to have fat rolls that hung over my shoes.

Good luck with plastics Shel. Sounds like quite a bit of work but no doubt will be worth it.

Dang those leg cramps Lorna.  Get some quinine pills.

Art opening tonight but I bought cheese slices and grapes to serve.   no chips and dip from me.

Keep the faith all.     diane s

A quick hello on a busy day. Scale remains at 112 so I'm feeling downright svelte as I head out on this trip this evening. I'll touch base while I'm away, sans scale report.

Wishing all of your happy and successful Friday!!
